UPDATE!

Town Hall will be finished by May 9th and work on roads and basic infrastructure is beginning. Expect the first plots to be up by the end of the month, and at that point, the town will open to all residents who wish to come. If you would like to join Celestia or are a resident and want to become a staff, please fill one of the forms above.

Hello people, this is the official forum post for player to apply to become a resident of Celestia. For those who have not visited, Celestia is going to be a Mediterranean styled city, with aspects from ancient cultures from Rome and Athens to Babylon and Jerusalem. To become a staff, you must have been active and helpful in the town for 7 days. Staff must be responsible and mature, like breaking up fights and helping others with towny issues. Staff also need to have a good sense of the town layout and structure. Staff that want to help build must submit a picture of an original creation.

This is a really cool idea! Sometimes on trips when I have nothing to do I go geocaching. It would be nice to do it more often, especially on Noobscraft where possibilities are (nearly) limitless! *Stamp* APPROVED

WHY?: I have received so much help from mayors and staff in the past, that I think I'm ready to step up to the plate and start a community on Noobstown. I feel like I can add a great community of people to this server and hope to continue that for many years to come.

EXPERIENCE: I was a TA in Nova for a long while, and have dreaming to get a town ever since. I am experienced in leadership positions and have helped as many people as I could with commands help, donations, questions, etc. I forgot to mention this in the original post, but I am also experienced with kids in the autistic spectrum (i.e Aspergers).

TIME: Weekdays: 1 - 4 hours     Weekends: 1 - 8 hours (Time Zone is EST)

PLAN: In development for four years, Celestia is designed to suit any type of player, from the avid farmer to the wealthy nobles. I plan to have plots in many ranges of size and multiple public buildings for the community to enjoy and share. Thanks to various donations, I have the 900k required to make a town. I plan to settle on a river south of Ethereal; southwest of Skyland, which I believe is a good location that has plains to build on as well as a nice forest to have other buildings in. I have also planned out different events for my residents to enjoy like decorating competitions, repair and fishing parties, and Mob Arena get togethers. The town will filter through the active members, certifying that the town has a member base that will actively support the town and not build a hut and leave it for 4 years. I also have population milestones to encourage members to get more people in the city and on the server in general. Such milestones include spawners, mcmmo areas, parks, statues, activities and more. My goal is to make a community that will be remembered as one of the greatest communities in the world, not judged by power or size but by respect and knowledge. Noobstown vs Mineapoc in Capture the flag? Saturday nights 6pm? Winning server gets items of value to that server?  Just a thought.  Maybe include creative so the two sides can set traps etc? "Creative" with variable, preset available inventories? Prizes for most kills, highest kill to death ratio, the player who captured the flag? All sorts of possibilities.

What you love about the server: The awesome community, helpful staff, and the in-depth chat conversations about random things like pi and gravity.
Any additional stories/tales you wish to tell: I used to have a Noobween Herobrine Shrine in the basement of my shop in NOVA. Customers could pay $10 each to see Herobrine. Btw, I would have put my 3 page story, Fravaho: A History, but it is 3 pages long...... Also, one time, I had a full on noob style cobblestone AND dirt box home.

 Pixel Heights Opening March!

The groundbreaking for the supertall skys****er (why must you do this, censoring gods!), Pixel Heights, will happen tomorrow (2/22), on 6 wild chunks near Duelcon's fabulous marketplace. The skys****er will be over 100 blocks tall, the main materials being glass, quartz, clay, and glowstone/redstone lamps. This new skys****er will have a marketplace, multiple penthouses for the wealthy, and warehouses for the marketplace and other shops around the server. I will send out another topic when the building is done. For the penthouses, I will allow said owners to purchase these pent houses for 50-60,000 noobz, with full building permissions and a fully furnished 2 floor space. Please post recommendations for the cost of the penthouse below, as well as other suggestions.

Tower Outline and Supports Finished

The 103 block tall tower outline has been completed using over half a dc of stone bricks. Work on the facades will begin before flooring and furniture is put in. Visit it at /visit meepdoodles
