There are quite a few sites which do this, including directly from the Minecraft amazon server.

Now that I think of it, the idea of bribing a mod is actually pretty funny.

Why you want this role: I find that sometimes other moderators or admin are not online when people are acting up and i really do not like to see people mess around and ruin the server for others. In addition some players have gotten angry because some mods are not always on, so be able to trust more people as mods would satisfy those players that are angry by the lack of mods.
Past experience: I've been wondering weather to become a moderator or own a town and i decided that making a town will lead to more troubles then helping within one.
Time zone: UTC-5
Additional information: I've been on the server for a fair amount of time, maybe not since v1 but still I've gotten at least a pretty good reputation on the server.

nah i saved my premodded jar and i may pop in and out, but not often due to my new arrival in the jungle biome and i am already exploring a nether fort to find enough blaze to craft fireballs, although so far i have not been able to get my own ocelot just yet but i'm still trying

with the snapshot release of 12w04a local user Nickolas927 will be unable to get onto the server due to testing of the release, upon the server updating or finishing of testing and restoring official jar, will the user be able to come back, after the testing Nickolas927 will indeed be able to share on how to launch fireballs and brew exp, that is all for now thank you for tuning in

UPDATE!
i am now a TA of the town as well and much great scenic builds have been made and are also usefull, we have added a grand library where you can enchant items depending on your level, no longer will you have to roam through a high level enchanting table to find a low level enchantment.

nickolas, when I was still a veteran, I wanted ward just as bad as you do, but you are not able to bribe a mod, nor is anyone else. And you can definitely not steal one, because you are not able to get a hold of one unless you are in creative. You might have to wait until there is a special event in which we might give out rarer items.
EDIT: According to the minecraft wiki, as of December 15th 2011, all disc. An be obtained from a creeper being killed by a skeleton.
i know about the creeper and skeleton thing, and i know you cannot bribe mods (that was a joke i hope people knew)

the /kit plugin really messes up the iconomy that we have, i'd think it was a good idea but it messes up some aspects of minecraft gaming and well, like i said, messes with the iconomy
