Could try Terraria, and funny enough I actually cut the lawn earlier.. xD (no.. not with nail clippers.. ._.)
Incase you're wondering terraria requires steam and you may need to pay some money for it. It's a great game however, it's basically a 2d, more RPG like minecraft.

Nice guide, short and simple, so anyone will read it (Not like mine  ). But I can't imagine a new player really reading it before they get started. I'm sure it will help some people at least though!

Here are some ways to make your noobstown experience last longer:
- Remember you can have a maximum of 4 plots, so you may want to build embassies in other towns, or expand your current plot. If you reach a max of 4 plots you can unclaim and sell one, then make another house. You can also build wilderness homes that are generally endless in size.
- You could find ways to earn some money. Either by collecting materials, making a shop plot in the server spawn or any creative way you have. If you make a shop plot you generally never run out of things to do, as you need to keep up with the demand.
-You could make a town, keep in mind this cost 500k to make and even more to run. You should set it as a personal goal to entertain yourself. After this you could set your eyes on a nation, or just keep expanding you town.
-Raise Mcmmo stats! You could become the next top mcmmoer in a category. Try fishing, woodcutting, herbalism, and all the other skills there are!
All these will take months to achieve if you want to do them all. But it provides more life to the game you once thought was boring.

I use to use tree feller on jungle trees, mcmmo updates completely stopped that method from working. I mean I used to cut regular oaks down before that with an efficiency 4, unbreaking 3 diamond axe. Even at that it took an hour to get double chest, which is worth 13k. I really haven't thought of anymore quick ways of making money other than that. If you have a huge sugarcane farm, You can get 2 noobz per plant, however they're limited to how quick they grow. But if you live in a town with a public farm that's relatively large (say 32x32) You can fit abut 512 plant in that space. Which is 1024 noobz. If they have a second floor that makes it 2048. It's a stretch but it's the best I can think of.
