I AFKed for an hour, no growth. I know this is a server issue, stop commenting on my farming ability/patience. The crops will not grow. No matter the amount of time given, they will not grow.
Conditions are perfect, time is infinite. Growth is null.

However nobody wants 1000 cactus, nobody can use 1000 cactus. The other shop would buy items that nobody wants, so that all items have worth.
At the least make items that no one wants sell able, I can see trading enchanted items, but just about everything else is not going to get player traded much.

If it has been slowed, it is slowed to something so low that a filed covering many chunks, is unable to grow a single wart, even a single level, even if I just AFK for a while in the field.

It didn't seem to have any issues in 1.2.3, I thought the issues came from the update. Hasn't it been patched yet?
And why are there so many things this one will not buy? And why are the buy and sell prices so far apart? I liked how dynamic economy made them the same. This one makes you lose a lot of money.

I have a huge nether wart farm, it is massive, and used to produce vast sums of warts. However ever since 1.2.4 no warts have grown, they just stay at stage one.
Yes the farm is in the nether, Yes it is set up such that it should grow. I am not doing something wrong. It worked before.
Now this farm was a big time investment, and now it seems to be useless. So what gives? Why don't warts grow? Is this issue ever going to be fixed?

After some testing, having a undamaged item does let me sell, but not always all. It will sell 2-3 of them, sometimes it will only sell the damaged ones! This is a weird bug.

The shop will not let me sell tools or armor, it always claims I do not have any. I have tested it multiple times, no typos. My friend says it works fine to him, so I don't think it is effecting everyone.

There is supposed to be a new world (there is a broken portal with sign "coming soon") in the portal room.
I know how to farm warts, I have a massive farm, I accumulated my first 100K by selling what it produced. Ever since the last update however, nothing will grow.

I like it, they could just create a separate competition world that the builders would work on. Enable isolated inventories and it would work great.

Nooo! I have had enough (100K) for while, but we were waiting for the new world. Now I need to double what I have, and my nether warts still won't grow. This is terrible news

Very true, it might happen once in blue moon and then be fixed. But takes no more to fix than block breaking. As long as few people have the ability the chances that this will happen is low.
And a mod could go rogue just as easily, sure they are screened but I once played on a server where this really nice OP and everyone loved him. Week later he WorldEdited the entire world to lava and force saved. There were no backups/rollbacks due to the server being on a transitional version (plugins not up to date). It happens, we can either trust no one or trust that we will probably catch the bad eggs before they crack.

It can be configured to either stop the placement (like world guard, simply put it back in your inventory) or make it fizzle out just like placing water. Either limit the power to mayors, or expect Mayors to have better judgement (The citizens might leave if the Mayor is stupid).
An alternative would be to let players place lava/fire on plots they own. Thus they must pay for the right, and the land belongs to them. Then by definition anything in that plot is their property, and they could not grief others. Then an individual is responsible for permitting others to place lava/fire in that plot. Just as we can give others access to chests.

well you see the reason for only a mayor or TA to use lava is good because.... 1) TA's are generally only trusted people chosen by mayor 2) mayors can't exactley BE mayors if they are corrupt enough to grief/kill 3) if by some chance they DO kill/grief, residents can leave said town and move to one that wont do such 4) again i say, cobblestone gens for the towns! 5) if a TA or mayor puts the lava and or fire for a town resident, that person will know what will happen to the lava or fire and accept or deny the placement of such fiery substance
This seems perfectly reasonable, why would a Mayor/TA grief their own town? After paying 100,000 noobs for a town, it would be great if that came with some added abilities, like placing lava/fire in my town. As long as I can ONLY place it in MY town I can't really grief. Sure I could grief my own villagers, but they would just leave.

The sign in the portal room says this world is "coming soon", but not much more.
My question is, will this world be like the main world? Same rules, towns, etc.
Or will it be special? like nether/PVP/mining are? My friends and I are going to start a town, and it would be cool to make one in a new world that is less populated. However if the new world is not going to play that way, then I will just find a spot in the main world.

I see that you can purchase "points" and use it to buy items, including a pig spawner.
My question is, if one gets a pig spawner, places it, and needs to move it, must they purchase a new one? Or is there a plugin that lets the owner move/collect the spawner? (Or will mods move them for you?).
If not, has the server considered using the creatureBox pluggin? It lets you give collection abilities to certain players, or make them pay to use it. It could configured so that VIPs could use it, or probably so that players can spend "points" to use it. Would be a great addition to the server.
