hello i have a problem

i cant seem to destroy anything accept dirt,sand, and snow but doesnt added it to my inventory.
and i can destroy stone,cobblestone, and ores but doesnt add it to my inventory.
and when i destroy wood it says "you dont have permission for this area.".

plz answer this question i need help 

You might still be too close to the protected area outside of the spawn-town. You could try moving farther out and check if you can mine blocks there.


This seems to be a common issue with many new players, maybe there should be a road that leads all the way to the Noobstown/wilderness-border to lead new people out of this protected area.
