RAM error?

So, Today while I was in emperormyrfs tunnles, My minecraft just died, And it said I ran out of memory. NEever had this problem before. Any clue how to fix it anyone?

well first how much ram do u have on your computer and video card(s) and how old are they

If it says that just download mcpatcher http://www.minecraftdl.com/mcpatcher-hd-fix/
Then go to: Options
If you are there then you see: Java Heap size. You can add there the wanted MB you want to stuck in your minecraft. Then Minecraft will know that he can use that amount of memory. The default is 512 MB or so I think. I have it set on 1024 now so it uses 1GB of ram
If you have that then just click on: PATCH (its in the mods thing. You can't miss it)
And there you go. You have more RAM in your minecraft. If this didn't work just search on the internet. On the minecraft forums somewone has posted a topic where he explains how you can add more memory to your Java.
