Noobscraft Weekly Events!

The Noobscraft Team have decided that due to the success of our events in the past, we will be doing weekly events! - This will be the community members choice (You will be able to vote on a poll) every week, events will alternate every week, so they aren't monotonous or dull.

We have decided to do this because we would like to bring the great community we have already, closer; this is also a chance for the community members to get to know the staff better. We also think that Survival Minecraft is very repetitive, this will be an opportunity to 'spice' things up a little, and also to socialise with other community members of Noobscraft, and mainly to meet new people!

These events will be hosted on a chosen night every week - Either Friday or Saturday Night, and they will be hosted by Waterworth and occasionally other staff guests.

More information will be available soon, however I would just like your thoughts on this!

Sounds good. I hope i can see "The Cube" since i heard its fun and i never tried it out myself

Please note that we are taking ideas for events, so if you have any amazing event idea contact Waterworth about it, or you could post it here.

Make sure to detail out what the event will be about though and what the overall goal will be. Perhaps even a way to implement the event as well, if it's something that might be hard to do.

1. If mob arena were to come back we could do a last person alive gets a reward.

2. A ultimate town where 2 people from each town fight week after week like American NFL and in the end there is a ultimate winner (town).

3. A large parkcour course competition

Another idea is a thing called grid it is sorta like the cube except harder you spawn in a place like sky block and you are on one block of something to the front of you ther is a block floating behind you to the sides of you and above and below you you have to jump to each block and if you miss you fall in to a endless death sorta like if you fall off in the end

We could trial that and see if it works.

This sounds absolutely awesome. But I'm wondering, even though the events are supposed to take place on Friday or Saturday, will some events last an entire weekend? Kind of the same sort of idea as double mcmmo experience weekend, but with new and original full weekend event ideas!

Depending on how many players we have an which event it is, we may have a full events weekend.

Well the cube it self is a prize for just participating becuas it is composed of ores and other valuables

Well my idea is racing. Setup 3 lanes or more with hazards like deep pits, 1 block lava pools 2 blocks deep, scatter some webs equally in each lane. 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd place prizes. Those prizes can vary.

Being a newish memeber and never having had the chance to attend a event the sooner the better. And i'd really like to meet more of the staff and members. Great idea noobscraft team =D

I think that this idea is great for bringing our already close community even closer. I love the idea of being able to vote for the event that we will do. I cant wait! Thank you very much for hosting the games Waterworth

ummfredfelizco and I came up with two ideas for full weekend events:

1. Double drop weekend: All items that are harvested drop twice the amount they usually do. The idea is that if when players are harvesting some sort of item, they will 100% get a double drop, but also mcmmo can double that double drop. And then the same thing with fortune enchantments. So you could be harvesting some stone with a unechanted pickaxe, and manage to get 4 cobblestone from one block.

2. Special Drops weekend: The idea is that you can gain special drops from items. For example, every harvestable item could have the effect of silk touch for the weekend, without the enchantment silk touch. So an example is mining stone with an unenchanted pickaxe and receiving the stone instead of cobblestone.

3. Buff Weekend: This one is a bit simpler. The idea is that all players will receive a potion or beacon buff for the entire weekend. An example would be everyone getting the haste buff for the weekend, so they can break blocks quicker. This works with just about any buff really.

Friday might be ideal if we just get back from work/school in time to relax. Saturday might have it's business.

I was thinking more along the lines of events, so people can meet up and have fun, thanks for the suggestion though.

What about capture the flag, where people areset into a few team and they try to capture the other teams flags.

I have a idea how about pig racing a bit like horse racing but with pig. Also boat racing we could even have a bookies to take bets.

you could do builing challenges like who can make the coolest looking house and the moderators could be the judges or a parkour challenge like you make a huge course and the first person to complete the course wins
