1.3 Update **FYI**

Just a heads up.  I believe if you update your minecraft to version 1.3 on August 1, you will NOT be able to log onto the Noobscraft Server until it is updated to 1.3 as well (which could take awhile).

Just something for everyone to keep in mind.

Yes, this is true. The changes to the game that are implemented in 1.3 will more than likely make it incompatible to play on an earlier version server, so if you want to continue playing on the server you will most certainly not want to update your MC.

I'm going to be updating. And have the obnoxious achievements start all over on me again. I somehow don't want them to go away though :P Things will be possible in 1.3:

(The ratings are my opinion)
Stackable signs (5/5)
Dispensable lava and water; loopholes ahoy (4/5)
Cloud computing Ender Chests (4/5)
Books you can write (4.5/5)
Tripwires (4.5/5)
Exp revamps (5/5)
Harder creepers (2/5)
Cocoa bean farming (4/5)
Awkward pistons (2/5)
Smoother boats (5/5)

This isn't everything for 1.3 though. It's just a few things to keep in mind.

The fact that the server is down now, is that just a short downtime, or will it be down until it has been upgraded to 1.3?

That was some unexpected downtime, it had nothing to do with the 1.3 update. The server is back online now. :)
