There's threads already open, one says what happened and that it's being worked on, the other is simple speculation and spending of time until things are working again. Why start another thread with the same question that's already been answered? And how is linking to the others not a help?

Let me try and clarify for you, Beth. The communication issue just means that the server your computer is trying to sync to isn't active and not responding, Therefore, it's not communicating. As far as a technical reason as to why the server stopped communicating, that is still up in the air.

Lets try it this way. As the moderator TwistedLover said on that first thread I linked, the server has crashed. As in it's not working. There's nothing there to connect with, and until they fix it, there's nothing you can do to log in. The forum does list people as "online", but it's going by the last information it has, which isn't being updated by the server because the server isn't working to update it.

You can either go by what an automated script says that's dependent on a working server to be correct, or you can go by what living human beings with the title of moderator are saying. Personally, I trust the human answer more than the automated one.

It's just a joke Beth, calm down. Liamcal probably likes Star Wars and on that they call those who are learning things "young padawans" or "young jedi". He wasn't actually saying it was your name, he was just using another thing to refer to you as.

Yes, definitely true. I've seen many people who don't even like Star Wars using the reference simply because the reference itself is a pretty nice one to make. In all kinds of apprenticeships there are ways to refer to the younger one who is learning, "padawan" and "jedi" seem to be as widely used as the most popular "grasshopper".

I think we've been pretty clear that no, no one is on the server right now. The admins need to fix it. They will fix it as soon as they can. It won't be fast enough for you. Perhaps now would be a good time for single player Minecraft. Or to check out one of the mods out there for single player. Plenty of those out there to tinker with.

No, nobody is on the server. The list that you currently see is the list of people who were on when the server crashed. The list can't update because the server isn't up, but it isn't being told the server is down either I'd imagine so it doesn't know that the list should be empty either.

You'll simply have to wait until an admin wakes up in a few hours and puts the server back up.

It is a bug with our online user list that the server shows people being online from when the server itself was last online. I will work on a fix for it today. Sorry for any confusion that may have caused.
