Failed To Login: Error (Read 8497 times)

I've been getting "Failed to login: Error" messages all morning so far, however the online count has changed over time making me think others can connect. I haven't seen an announcement about downtime or an upgrade either, so I'm at a loss as to why I cannot connect. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I should mention that I haven't seen any issues listed at Mojang's Support Center either.

For some reason I gotten this all day [Failed To Login: Error] and I can't seem to log on, it is starting to get annoying :/ I really want to get on today for the noobmas stuff but I think I can't cause of this :(

This page here (http://xpaw.ru/mcstatus/) will nicely show the status of the login servers and check it for you every 30 seconds.

Strange, I checked the Mojong Support Center status page before posting and it looked fine then. Now it's reporting that the accounts website is down, but that both Minecraft and Majong logins are green. I'm guessing they need to update that page a bit so it's a little more accurate...

OK, I have to publicly apologize on this. For some reason, I thought I'd started this topic in a different board, and my first reply was based on the mistaken thought that this was a DIFFERENT thread started by someone else. I can only say that the pain meds my doctor has me on a clearly addling my brain worse than I thought. Totally my bad.
