I use to use tree feller on jungle trees, mcmmo updates completely stopped that method from working. I mean I used to cut regular oaks down before that with an efficiency 4, unbreaking 3 diamond axe. Even at that it took an hour to get  double chest, which is worth 13k. I really haven't thought of anymore quick ways of making money other than that. If you have a huge sugarcane farm, You can get 2 noobz per plant, however they're limited to how quick they grow. But if you live in a town with a public farm that's relatively large (say 32x32) You can fit abut 512 plant in that space. Which is 1024 noobz. If they have a second floor that makes it 2048. It's a stretch but it's the best I can think of.

Invest in a good set of picks and shovels. And keep an eye on durability (f3+h) and repair where needed/possible.

Mine and excavate - smelt the cobble to stone. And sell the stone. Increase your mcmmo skill on both so you increase your double drop chances.
Smelt the iron, gold, and sell the emeralds, and sell the diamonds. (Minus what you need for repairs, new enchants, enchanted picks you wanna sell)

Then, mine more.

In the meantime, get shoveling over 350, it will give you diamond drops.
And increase your repair, so you can repair your diamond stuff yourself (after level 50).

Don't die in lava..

Your first revenue stream and easy way to cover your costs: smelting cobble into stone. And selling the stone (after of course, storing away what you want to keep / need, first).

Your second revenue steam is less items, but they are worth more: your smelted gold and iron. Sell iron for 30 or more noobs, and sell gold for 35 or more noobs. (tip: vip members can sell at vip spawn's marketplace) And the smelting gives you XP. Also, the diamonds and emeralds give you an extra boost, which helps you invest in really good picks.

We're still on smelting.

Smelting cobble, iron and gold will give you XP when you take it out of the furnace.
Use this XP to repair your very important picks, and then create new picks if needed.

Revenue stream 3: Keep the very good picks for your own mining. And sell *every other enchanted one you create*. Why? Because.. You invest 3 diamonds and 2 sticks into a pick, that's let's say 650 noobs, but you can sell 'poor' enchants that mean nothing to you to others for 2500 to 6500. That's 1500+ profit per pick. A little boost for your wallet.

At this point you are benefitting from smelting your items, enchanting your items with the stuff you get from mining.. Your only investment at this point has been the first few picks.

Let's talk picks.

Mine with unbreaking 3 picks. This way they last longer, and your cost is lower.

Mine with a normal whatever enchanted pick, like efficiency 4 - just to spend less time mining, and your mining level goes up faster than those with normal picks, who constantly have to either invest in repairing or in buying / making new picks. Lower cost, in the long run.

Tip: repairing enchanted items >> your chance to lose the enchantment is very high, don't use the iron block unless you want a normal diamond pick back from it. Sometimes you can repair in the mc 1.4 anvil. Ask a mod for help on repairs.

Anyway, then there are 2 more important picks, fortune and silk picks.

Use SILK TOUCH only on diamond ore and emerald ore. And the higher your double drop chance, the better.
Imagine, you mine 2 diamond ore, they both double drop, you get 4 diamond ore!

Pro tip: If you want to benefit from double dropping certain things, to get XP later, and more XP, you can mine lapis ore , coal ore and redstone ore with silk as well. I do ..

Use FORTUNE III only on diamond ore and emerald ore AFTER you silk touched it, and then placed it in a secure area again. Now if you mine it they drop their items, which can be 1 or more (I think up to 4 or 5) items per ore. Hence the name fortune. Normally a 2 diamond ore might be 4 to 6 diamonds, with silk+fortune mining, 2 becomes 4 ores, and 4 ores can become 10 diamonds. I rather have 10 than 5 diamonds. (winnnn was made)

Use FORTUNE III on Iron and Gold ore. And if you have redstone ore and lapis ore, have a blast. You will get XP from it - way more than coal btw.

You will use your silk touch way less than fortune3, but you will use your f3/st way less than a normal pick with a simple enchantment. So somewhat cheap investment on a few u3 picks gets you a lot of stuff to mine, smelt and sell. And then the good picks will last long, despite that they are a somewhat expensive investment.

Pro tip: You can't trust your fellow player, so don't assume they aren't using cheats, and don't use cheats. Mine alone, it gives you 100% of the profit, and 0% share cost. If you're in it for the money, that is a wise choice. If it turns out they're using cheats, and you mined with them, you might risk getting banned as well.

Final tip: have multiple revenue streams, because mining 24/7 is not fun. There's woodcutting, building for others, jobs, and what not. You can get rare items cheap and sell them, etc etc ..

I am not going to give away all my little secrets, the point of this post is: Realize there's more to mining that gives you money than just /sell stone all.
