Hello!

This is the new application that will be used for players that want to apply for Chatmod.

What is a Chatmod?
You may have heard the term 'Chatmod' thrown around in the past couple of months, but not quite entirely sure what it is. In the most basic description, a Chatmod is a 'sub-moderator' and mainly has duties of monitoring the ingame chat and helping out players with an issues they might have. The Chatmod only has very basic duties, therefore only has very basic Moderation permissions - You will have access to jail and kick a player from the game.

You can no longer apply to be a Moderator, every person has to go through the process of Chatmod -> Moderator. The only way to become a Moderator is to be promoted from a Chatmod to a Moderator. If you become a Chatmod and show a respectful, helpful and enthusiastic attitude, you will almost certainly be promoted to a Moderator.

This is the first stage to applying for Chatmod, your application will be reviewed by myself and you will be contacted in-game if I feel that you would make a good Chatmod. You must bear in mind that even though this application is simple, your in-game behaviour will be monitored by the staff, myself and other Chatmod. The best way to show you are eager to become a Chatmod is to help out players in-game and keep a respectful and friendly attitude, it will pay off in the end!

If you have any questions regarding your Chatmod application, don't hesitate to send me a message, however make sure you don't ask regularly about the status of your application, because generally I have a lot of applications to read and review and may not have time to update you.

Why do you want to be a Prefect?: I want to be a perfect because I want to be able to give back to a community I love and know and keep it as a family friendly server were people can meet their friends under a common goal to build and have fun. I have been a member of noobstown for about a year and a TA at tortuga for half a year and I know how hard it is to help every one out at once so I want to help out with the load. Thank you

Why do you want to be a Prefect?: I would like to be a Prefect not just because of the special title or permissions, but because I think that anyone and everyone deserves the best experience they can on Version 6 without others ruining it for them or because of any questions or help that they need. I remember how confused I was when I first started on the server, and I know that other people would feel that way if they are a totally new member to the server, so I would like to help them as much as I possibly can to make their experience the best! Another reason is that I would also like to experience what it feels like to be part of the staff team.

Why do you want to be a Prefect?: I want to be a Prefect because I love to help people and get rid of the bad peoples. I think I would be a pretty good addition to your team because if I become Prefect I will start playing more and I will be rather strict on how people act with the rules.

Why do you want to be a Prefect?: Even though I have hopped around on lots of different servers, they have either gone down quickly, had no grief controll, or had bad mod service. I dont want that ever to happen to noobstown. one of the main reason is because I have noticed that usually when I am on there is an hour or so when no mods are there and I could fill that slot.  I was glad theres a chance to be prefect because i was starting to think that being a full mod might be to much work

Why do you want to be a Prefect?:  My interest in this role is because it seems that Noobstown could use a few more helpers on-line during certain (busy) hours to help the players. There are times when I'm on that there's no mods on, and I would like to fill in that space assisting members with their questions. There are always new members on the server that have questions and wondering how this server works. Besides new members, I'd like to keep the family server family friendly, abusive behavior, foul language and such is something I'd like to help filter out. I also would like to make everyone's experience on the server the most enjoyable as possible. And I'm always trying to help anyone on the server that needs it. But, I would like to take a more active role on the server and assist the other moderators and admins with keeping the chat clean.

Why do I want this role of prefect?: I've been playing this server for quite a long time, and by far this is my favorite public server. When I first started, I'll admit I wasn't the most mature, I had problems with people, but over my one and a half year stay at Noobscraft, I have started to become more mature. This is really a great community, and I want to help make it even better. Countless times, I and others have been on when no staff are on and people are breaking a ton of rules, and more than one person in a lot of cases. I've always wanted to do something more than report a player. Sure, it works, but it can be a hassle and usually takes a long time. I don't like banning or even kicking people, but I will if it is disturbing the people of this amazing server. Along with building a nation and town, I want to be able to help even more than just giving people a friendly environment to live in with plenty of activities and a friendly staff.

Why do you want to be a Prefect?: I would like to be a Prefect because I feel like I have been here long enough to know what is right from wrong. While helping out members of this community I got the opportunity to make new friends and help others that needed help when no admin/moderator was online. I've had my fair share of fun and I would like to see more people enjoy the server for what the Staff Team and all the members made it, up to V6. When I first joined Noobstown I was greeted by a warm welcome from a moderator, now its time that I give back and make this community "A New Era."

Why do I want to be a Prefect?: 

I have played Minecraft since alpha and love the game.  I have enjoyed playing on this server since V5.  I earned Veteran status by placing in the top 10 in MCMMO in 2 categories and I finished top 10 in money balance. 

I waited patiently for V6 and have been very active ever since it went live.  My MCMMO power level is high and I am high on the money balance list.  I have also become friends with many of the players and staff on the server and have done my best to help other succeed by giving them fair prices on items, donating in game money, and providing items to their towns and directly to them. 

I have also recently become a VIP and I won the voting challenge for August as I am committed to the success of the server and understand the importance of voting.  I would vote even if there wasn't a reward or a contest.

I am familiar with plug-ins like Chunky, Towny, and MCMMO.  I was the Mayor of Thunderhaven in v5 and I am the Submayor for Windermere. I have been a moderator previously on another server in SMP, Factions, and Skyblock.  I also have a TS account and am willing to be active on TS when needed.  I also have Skype for Staff communications.

I like to help others succeed and enjoy Noobscraft.  The more they succeed, the more they will want to play which ultimately strengthens the server community. 

I also want to help keep the server family friendly.  I have kids who play and want them to be able to enjoy a safe and fun environment.   Noobscraft is a great place for younger and older players alike because of the strong rules and the enforcement of those rules.

Ultimately I would like to gain experience as a Prefect to eventually become a Moderator.

Why do you want to be a Prefect?: I want to one day be a moderator, in all seriousness. Also, i did just get a new laptop, meaning that I will basically be online at all hours of the day, and i guess it would give me a sense of duty, lol don't laugh. It would allow me to help out Noobstown in whatever way I can, even if its just the occasional "don't swear so-and-so" and what-not.
