the forgotten towns

have you ever been to those towns that are at the front of noobstown. there all greifed and ruined. well long ago at the start of noobstown fatnoob and the other admins were hard at work on the main city but needed a place to stay. so when they started they made mini towns at were those griefed towns are now. people joined the server and started to build there. soon they got living situations and towns without towny built. but when noobstown was done and towny was on they left because all the resources were gone. after years of people taking supplies from the houses like wood and cobble they looked like they do now and nobody ever went there again but the explorers and scavengers that go around every once and a while.

One of these days I should fill my invie with Speed potions and just explore for ruins. I'm reviving this topic because I've been reading old topics under "Towns and Nations" and it seems like there were some really good towns back in the day. Towns that somehow died away. Some notables were Farout's bunkerish DeepHaven, terrence's BaronsCourt, Geo's Entrolla, NinjaJosh's The_Black_Forest, Linda's sakura-decked KochiraKoso, and [umm] OakHaven. And I wish I know where to go so I could go visit the ruins. I mean, an actual underground town?! A piece of paradise for this burrower :3

Unless... Umm, do any of these towns actually live on under another name?

I also took note of a couple of renamings to existing towns-- Glasgow was formerly Buckfast_Abby, Gardell was formerly Esforniaq, Tortuga was formerly HeavenDawn. Note that I've only been around for a couple of months, so if it seems like I'm speaking out of line, do rebuke me.

Even if you find any towns long abandoned and already griefed, the staff urges to leave them untouched.

You probally won't find many towns because all of the towns before and including oakhaven were reset when they went broke.

There is a  ruin out there called IronForge. It used to be a small town, but collapsed in my earlier days (I lived there).

KochiraKoso was in a desert biome and a mushroom biome, and looked like a castle. I know this because I live in the remains of the city and am currently restoring it.

Farout's bunkerish DeepHaven,
Hey! I helped dig out some (quite a bit actually) of that town. I loved that place. I have a friend who still lives in the ruins... If I could only find him.. xD
