Why Noobstown?
« on: 2 May 2015, 23:19:07 »
I've been playing Minecraft on single player for some time but it's pretty boring and lonely... the only alive things I've found only say: "Ha.. Haa..". So I decided to search an SMP. I've tried different servers with different modes, UHC, Factions, but the one server that got stuck in my head was Noobstown.
I have my reasons for this choice but I would like if possible to get a reason from each of you. Only one per person.
I know the advertisement and the description of the server but I would like to hear a more personal reason or memory that made you stick with Noobstown. :)

So..
Why Noobstown?

Perhaps, it might be odd for you to read a reply from me, however, let me take you back about four years ago...

Two cousins, one named Waterworth (well, me :D) and one named Fatnoob (now Foob) wanted to play Minecraft together and decided to make a small two player server.

After hours of playing, we made our first diamond pickaxe and subsequently I lost that pickaxe in some lava (whoopsie!) and I suppose this was when we first conceived of a very rudimentary form of Noobstown; we knew (from a vast array of other games) that it was always much more fun to play with friends rather than be on your own. We thought it would be a good idea to open a server for other people to enjoy and meet new people: so we did!

What we saw was a very diluted form of the Noobstown that exists today: towns and players! That version has been built on ever since and the result of this is what we see today!

We've stuck with Noobstown because we love to run communities where players can have fun whether it be with their friends or to enable them to make new friends and have fun, we will stick with this server for as long as possible!

I hope you enjoyed my little spiel and for your informational needs: we never saw that pickaxe again.

NoobsTown for me is the bases of the Minecraft multiplayer community.
Everyone is here for one another.
So why Noobstown, Because of friends and good ones at that

Originally, I joined Noobstown after being begged repeatedly by a friend of mine. I finally gave in, mostly so I could help him out with his town. I'm glad I did.
I stick with Noobstown not just because of the server itself, but because of the people online. The staff are all friendly and I've become friends with many people who I'd never have heard of otherwise, from all around the world, within my town and out. Beyond that, the grief-free system is far more effective than that on most servers with the custom 'Chunky' plugin, and the server retains a clean, family-friendly environment, something unfortunately not enforced by many servers.

That was me. anyway I've been on Noobscraft for almost 3 years, I never regretted joining it. At first i was a bit sceptical about it but I gave it a week and oh my melon, it was worth it. What I love about the server the most is the community! Theres also funny little stuff like Waterworths (aka Melonworth) obsession with melons.

I recommend that you play this server, you won't regret it :D
