I think it would be good if we could have the ability to hide from the live map, in case we're in a secret area that we do not want anyone seeing, or if something your making is under construction and you want it to be a surprise and things like that etc.

Well ya see, the "live" map is not really "live" as far as your location, yeah it shows you where you are at, but what you are building, thats a different story. The map wont show what you are building for some time. but I get what you are saying. I really dont think that it can be done.

The 'seeing what you are building' bit refers to people being able to see where you are to walk over and see what you are building. Not really bothered about seeing the house on map though cause if they don't know the location they won't know where it is to look at it

You can achieve this by drinking an invisibility potion.

This isn't something we're likely to be allowing in the same way we don't allow you to hide the fact you're online. Obviously if it's something that enough people want then we might consider it but currently I think it's great the fact people can actively see where other people are.

If you don't want someone on your land both in the Town and Wilderness worlds as the owner/town staff you have the right to ask someone to leave that land, if they refuse you can contact server staff who will be able to forcibly remove them, and punish if they return.
