/auction Plugin!!! (Read 3277 times)

I think that the server should add in the /auction plugin to create a cool way for players to engage in economic trade while bidding against each other for a certain item!!! The plugin is great and is used on many well know servers. It has no bugs and runs fine along with any other plugin!!! I think adding this ability to the use of players will make making money easier for some and harder for others! Please take this in mind and I hope to here back from an administrator! Thanks

This has been discussed before. It has been introduced to the server before. It was removed for many reasons. I do not see it coming back in the near future.

It caused lag, it ripped people off, there were glitches and many many more problems

Spamming chat was a large issue, there was a new auction every two minutes.

That's why you make an auction based chat and make it also to where not everyone can use /auction.. to where it is a rank and cost lets say 100,000 to be able to use it... Also it has been updated to fix bugs and lag problems.

I really don't think this will be re-added. It was a HUGE issue before. IF it gets re-added it might not have it's own channel because the auction plugin is coded to say the message globally. It can really ruin an economy too. Like diamonds can be sold for 10000 noobz. People will have questions about it spamming chat even more. There are many things to consider even if this were to be added back...

Making someone pay 100k to use it is pointless.. No-one would use it because everything they sell would only be paying back that 100k which is pretty silly and necessary.

Exactly.... Make it to where its their choice whether or not they want to buy it! And once they get it, it should be farely easy to get the money back and start making profit seeing how its a good way to make money

and if someone is stupid enough to bid 10,000 on a diamond, that's their problem...

This is what the Admins said when someone did something like that. Then the player rages from the server.. It isn't coming back..

its a really good idea, but i don't think people would bid that much on anything (except really, really rare and valuable things), except newer members who don't really know how much things cost.

They could also add another world called ''Auction World'' So it doesnt spam chat and its in a place where people only go to auction. Great Idea!

Meh,maybe this will happen,maybe it'll not. Although we have been doing fake auctions on the server once in a while, quite fun really. This really helps with multiple people wanting the same thing another person wants.
I had issues trying to sell a spawn egg once to two guys, the one that didn't get it felt bad, so I have him a skeleton head at no cost. xD

I personally don't like the plugin because it really spams the chat on most servers I go on, because you can sell
anything. Also it makes getting items based on who gets the last bid making it more of a chance game then the highest bidder. I think manual auctions will suit the server better do to it's size as well.

That's a good idea to decrease spam of the regular chat. But it may cause some players to miss out on a deal, or people trying to auction it never getting their attention from someone who may want to buy their good (because they can't see the auction).

There should definitely be a limit to how many auctions a day a person can make. Maybe like 2-3 Auctions a day. This could decrease the spam, and maybe you would have to be a VIP to be able to make auctions, but anyone can bid on the auctions. I like the idea of putting the auction into its own channel. Its a good plugin, but it does have really bad glitches, and people normally get ripped off when they sell things, and when they buy.
