I was thinking on the last day of Version 5 maybe giving the players gamemode 1 (creative mode) and letting us tnt the map? Just because it would be quite a way to end v5 with a bang. (hehe get it boom bang? :p) What do the admins say? What do my fellow players say?

I would be fine with this i saw in later posts that they have flooded the server and stuff at the end of a few versions

Some players wouldn't be happy, due to they want to see there old houses in V6, and want to see how much they've changed it from last one etc. So I am disagreeing with this.

The current world will be accessible in V6 as a "Museum World", so no this wont happen.

You guys realize they could just save the map for v5 before they do this and then stop any other server saves from occuring before v6..? therefore everyones houses etc etc. will still be in tact.

What AQW said. Save the world first, and then TNT it.

But personally, I have no interest in destroying builds with explosion.

To be honest, we've done this on another server and it just got boring, I like the idea of it but I don't think it would suit the server, I think we should host a giant drop party on the last day, where everyone drops stuff in the pvp arena, and people have to fight to the death to get stuff like beacons etc. >

That's mainly the point in TNTing it really... We could try very hard to crash it, then when it's crashed we can wait for a week until V6 is here. Crashing it may be very hard though:P

Why not AQWs idea and THEN a tnt party? Competition to crash the server sounds nice.

Well, I like the feedback on this for one thing. Yes the server would probably crash, but you can make it so the tnt will explode as you place it, therefore it would be harder to spam it as much. In addition to that, does it matter if the server crashes? Its the last day of the v5, so it will be down for the next week or so like they mentioned in the post. So, it is a fairly good idea.

No this isn't going to happen because the world is being saved as a kind of 'museum' world which a lot of other users have mentioned already. Also we would rather avoid a server crash so it doesn't cause any technical issues with our server box.

I understand you would all like a big event to finish Noobstown version 5 but this isn't the way to do it. There will be a big spleef tournament in the next couple of weeks where you have the chance to win the veteran title for version 6, probably also a few other events like this.

I say get the save the server, get the Goo Mod, plant the goo at spawn, and have it consume the world, last person living wins 3000 tokens!

Although it would be fun, but you also need to consider some people don't have the best computers out there. Like people who run on 5 fps. What if their online when all these explosions happen? they will just lag out and not be able to enjoy the last few minutes/hours or v5

I think for the last day everyone should get to have flying powers and see the whole world because not everyone got to see the whole world. I don't know, though. Its just my oppinion
