Loyalty rank
« on: 9 Dec 2012, 16:19:57 »
I was thinking of a new rank like loyal it has no perks other then exclusive party's and stuff. You would of have to played for 72 hours. ( on the server) this was on another server and it worked really well.  The only difference from the other server is there is no perks or party's and it was 1200 minutes instead of 72 hours

This would be like adding a second rank to member, being on the server for a long time is not suppose to give you any perks, it is your choice to be on the server a lot and asking for a rank cause you are on the server a lot would be stupid if you ask me.

Loyalty rank, if it were to be made, would really be of no reason. It's a bit like Veteran rank, but you only recieve Veteran if you've been on here since V5 and has donated ever since then.

A Loyalty rank would be the type of rank that shows trusted players who could be beneficial to the community. It would be somebody that someone looks up to for help or even just advice, for example getting noobs started. I like the idea of it, but I don't think another rank will be added for a while if at all.

I would more say that people go to VIP's, Veteran's, Moderator's for stuff like that, most of them are loyal, active and helpful so why add another rank when we already got 3 ranks that kinda does what the rank that would be added does? :-3

The VIP rank is commonly known as a donator rank on a lot of servers, even noobs could guess what it's for because you use VIP for a lot of things, not just minecraft. So that wouldn't be looked up to as much as a Loyalty rank because that player would've gained the rank for being.. y'know, Loyal to the server :P. And Veteran, that just means we've been here a while: A person who has had long experience in a particular field.

[EDIT]: "most of them are loyal, active and helpful so why add another rank when we already got 3 ranks that kinda does what the rank that would be added does? :-3" - When someone new joins the server they don't know anybody so this really wouldn't be the case. I've been on a few servers where VIPs or other ranks have been quite offensive in some ways.

Would be nice to have a rank like that sort of as a sub-moderator. Trustworthy enough to handle thing when needed. Vip and supporter just financial contribution, and veteran show experience, as Jay said, on the server.

Well, if you're looking to a way to get something by helping he mods (or begging for something for noobsmas on teamspeak. Lol) you can! I got a signed book from foob (not a lore book on the apoc server)! I also know a certain someone who got a Steve head but s/he asked me to keep it secret. You can ask to help and if they let you, you can get some AMAZING stuff.

Although the topic is about a rank rather than material gain, I think it has already been resolved that admins wouldn't just give out stuff like that anymore. Or at the least it was a rumor.

It feels a bit wrong to only offer help to someone just because they will give you some loot. Actual friendships are ideally based on willingness to help each other out rather than doing it for self gain. Anyways, it's not so secret if you post it on the forum. :3

Not that what I say matters much, but the only people who disagree with this are the people WITH advanced ranks. A member wishes to feel progression, a small reward, even just a title, given to them so that they feel they have a reason to stick around.

And they also don't want to pay. Often times they can't pay.

Nope. You are wrong sir. Veterans, VIPs, Supporters, and Members are all equal. We don't have "advanced ranks" We have taken the money out of our own pocket (Or a friends :3) to support the server and get more commands. We are still equal.

i think we need a tutor rank its basically people who know a fair amount about minecraft and can take the pressure of the mods so i.e someone wants to know how to craft something instead of wasting a mods time they ask for help from a tutor.
