Well that is exactly the poll i wanted to make a while ago, and somehow i mange to forget it.Anyway, this is a great idea, but even if fatnoob decide to create another server, it may take a while, as he will need to get new map/spawn, plugins, and maybe even more staff.
I think with Foob is that he likes his servers to be available to play for anyone. Not everybody can play with mods on their computer. I believe you need 6gb of RAM at least, allowing you to allocate four of them to FTB, that's also with minimal settings, you'd need a more than decent computer to get anything above 35fps at normal settings methinks. I personally haven't played FTB, but it's just what I've read or heard, sorry if it's wrong :).
I actually mentioned this to Lawrence the other day, I'm not quoting him or being a supreme decision maker, but coming from him to me and now to you, Larry said he didn't think it would be possible, due to the strain of 2 servers on one machine. It would still be great though
i also don't know how to install mods, and that's a major problem right there...
Once Minecraft's official plugin API is out this may change as the use/control of changes to clients will be much easier to add and control, but at this time we aren't going to spread into modded client servers.
