Noobstown Jury system ?
« on: 9 Jun 2012, 14:52:06 »
Ok i had a thought whilst i was temporarily banned for harvesting someone's farm and I want to put this idea to you guys.

Although there is already a ladder system for noobs, mods, admin ect I was thinking of maybe a public jury system where ban appeals are taken into consideration and bot parties the accused and the victim can put both their points across and the members of the forums you guys can vote whether you think the accused should be banned or temp banned.

I think this is a really good idea and I think it is something that the admins may want to take into consideration and have a think upon my idea.

It opens up allot more interesting things for members to do and keeps the forums active aswel.

Just a thought let me know what you guys think.

Kind regards

I'm just a little curious to if you didn't banned, would you still have posted this idea? Or even thought of it for that matter?

I believe it's a good Idea and could work out, but then it could fail in many ways to.. I think the person who banned someone should get to choose whether or not to unban them, like how the system works now.

Iv never been banned but i do like the idea of a jury because if someone took something from an unlocked chest or harvested crops they can work to pay off what they took or be put into a jail where they can work to be released quicker they could pay back the stolen items and fix everything. If it happens again they get banned.

There have been many requests for this to happen, however it is more than likely never going to happen. We have a moderation team to deal with bans and they are the ones who decide if the bans are justified or require unbanning.

With a jury system becoming unbanned would just turn into a popularity contest.
