At Tortuga, we just go with private messaging on the forums as well as the in-game mail. The forum messages go straight to the receiver's email as well.
Oakvale has a separate forum site for off-game town communication. I give credit to
Hal and
Fish and the Oakvale staff for what they do for their town
But, having a town page at the Noobscraft forum would be great, opening an off-game channel that's dedicated to town members. That would mean we'd have to keep track of which town each person is in though. A straightforward solution would be to make sticky threads for each town under the Towns and Nations category, but that would fill up 2 pages
so it'll probably have to be a separate category. Also, we're faced with the question, What happens to the threads of inactive towns?
