I've seen on some other servers that they have a tutor rank, the tutor is the first run on the staff member ladder and are responsible for helping member/guests with any questions they have whether that's about towny commands or just questions about the server, they also have access to mute and kick commands so they can intervene if someone is breaking the chat rules and there isn't a mod online, its a good way for admins to see whether some one is a good candidate to be a moderator or admin.

Tutor = Moderator... I don't see why we gone add another rank, that will do the exact same as a moderator, just with a different rank.

The whole point of Moderator is to help people out when they need your help, so this rank would be extremely pointless.

the point of a mod is to to help admins out with staff building projects and enforce the rules of the server a tutor is there to 1. help members 2. keep chat rules enforced. and its a good way for admins to see if someone is capabale of becoming a mod/admin

A moderator is someone who helps with anything but, a tutor can be a member like I help with lots of people  .

So having a group of people dedicated to giving people advise when needed and answering questions is pointless ok! it works very well on other servers and helps guests settle in and feel welcome knowing there is someone there to help!

On this server, what a Tutor does is done by the Moderators, Moderators do most of the helping out players side, and the Admins make sure everything runs smoothly, You might have been on a server where this "Tutor" rank was a thing, but it will surely never be a thing on Noobscraft, if a guest need help he/she can ask a normal Member, he/she would probably get the same or even better answer's.

And also, I never said helping members is pointless, I said your rank idea is pointless, cause it does the exact same as a moderator does, just with a different rank, and a different colored name, so again... This. Would. Be. POINTLESS.

There are plenty of players who already help out people and answer questions in chat, without the need for a special rank like this. I don't feel a special "Tutor" rank would add anything to the server.

I think this is a good idea.  If a player wishes to step up and try to help new players learn the server or general commands associated with noobstown, then by all means, please feel free to do so.  As far as enforcing the rules, Moderators are enlisted to do that, but if you wish to help answer general questions or concerns that a player may have, by all means, go for it!  There's no need to have a special rank or colored name to be friendly, helpful, and polite.  (Besides, how else do you think we look to find new staff members )
