Way to clear only part of mail
« on: 23 Dec 2015, 03:55:47 »
There may be a way to do this already, and that i would not know of, so correct me if I'm wrong, but say i have 4 messages and want to keep one, i think id be nice to be able to clear the 3 i don't want while keeping the one i want, instead of being forced to clear em all at once like it is now. This way if someone send me a mail about a future i want to save i have a nice reminder but don't have to see all of the other messages i get that i don't want.

or a way to retrieve accidentally cleared mail. I've done that on a few occasions, typed /mail clear instead of /mail read and miss those messages that I had.

ItsLawrence

As far as I'm aware there isn't a way to do what you're suggesting, we also don't directly develop the plugin which includes /mail and as such couldn't easily add this without re-working it completely. (Something which is planned but not at all a high priority.) One (possibly annoying) way to get around your issue would be to write down the mail which you want to keep, either in real life or by a screenshot of the chat or even in a book in-game? I'm assuming the reason you might want to keep it is incase it includes coordinates or something; those ideas might solve that?

I do like the idea and it will come eventually but isn't a high priority, that's for suggesting it.

Similar to the main suggestion of the topic and my response to that: during the rework it might include a confirmation message which obviously should solve this issue. This won't be added for quite sometime though. For now my suggestion would be check what you're command is before you issue it ;) :P, sorry not that helpful.
