Hello there Noobstown!

 Let me take a minute to thank the creators and staff for crafting such a wonderful server! You folks have made my stay quite enjoyable and I would like to tip my hat to you and your efforts!

I have a couple of little ideas that could possibly add to the already rich environment going on here at Noobstown.

THE XP BANK

The Function: Players would be able to, "Bank /Deposit and Withdraw" their experience up to a certain level for a fee. Also experience could be made as a commodity on it's own. Players could gift or sell saved XP for Noobs or goods to other members of the community!   

Benefits:

1: A plugin like this could add another niche to an already robust economy within the community.

2: Players would have a safeguard against losing XP whilst adventuring about if they have, "Banked" their XP prior to leaving the safety of their home.

3: Adding a feature like this could create another form of trade that could improve the singular XP game mechanic in vanilla.
 
4: This could bolster donation rank perks to those who financially support the server. Donators, VIPs and VIP+ could be allowed to have larger, "Bank" limits with lower cost per, "Deposit". 

5. Fun.. This would make grinding levels less tedious without breaking the continuity of the game.

I believe this would be an excellent addition to Noobstown as it would benefit the server community as a whole.

I've not been able to locate it here, so forgive me if I missed it. I would love to see the skill level perks specific to Noobstown posted here somewhere. I think it would be cool to see what we can work towards.

Great plugin idea! & to check what perks you can work towards do /mining /excavation /archery /swords /unarmed etc etc on the chosen skill & read it and it will tell you at what level what perks are unlocked.

Experience points are a part of the vanilla minecraft and are easy enough to acquire as they are and it could be taken advantage of or misused for how you are suggesting your innovation.

Thank you so much for you input. I understand that practically any plugin if not properly coordinated could be used as an unfair advantage to people of lesser moral fiber. That being said, I have the confidence that our server Administrators can look into any possible exploits pre-release and snuff out any undesired effects 

On your second point; yes levels are easy to attain but also easy to lose. As you know, for the average non-donation player grinding levels for enchants is both time consuming and somewhat a chore. The beauty of this plugin is that it is entirely up to the player to utilize. They could choose to go out and grind without banking XP or make the choice to simply deposit all their earned experience up to the cap. Add that with the ability to buy or sell xp for noobs or goods and you have a very dynamic game mechanic that would help the server top down without forcing the use of the plugin directly.

I have never been a plugin-heavy individual and I do like to keep things relatively simple. I have given this a far bit of thought and believe it to be worthy of some discussion at the very least. I am grateful that you have voiced your opinion. I encourage any critical thinkers to come forward to try and pick this apart or support it! This way weaknesses and oversights in this idea can be corrected, amended or completely removed. Either way, it's a blast to brainstorm and rub ideas off on others to see what they think. It may not work, but I think it would be fun to try!

I just wanted to point out that this is a survival server. As in... you know... you die you lose your stuff. This kind of goes against the whole point of a survival server, even if you have to pay a fee to get your money. That's part of the charm of survival server, you have to be careful with what you're doing and make sure you're not being crazy if you have levels on you.

And it's actually not that hard to get levels on the server, Dracomere has a dark room with beacon protection (It has regeneration, strength 2, and resistance 2 on almost the entire area so you can pretty much 1-hit most mobs with a good weapon).

You'd need to make sure to bring armor of course as the mobs can swarm, but usually you're pretty safe there if you're paying attention. I've been told it can take just around 10 minutes this way to get to level 30 to enchant things.

If you needed directions towards this specific grinder to see if you like it or not you can usually get there through /visit mrfloris, or recently because he's changed his visit to the COTM you can do /visit nixxy73. If neither of those work you can do /town spawn dracomere, then turn around and walk straight ahead until you're at the dark room.

As Twistedlover stated this is a survival server or one aspect of this server. While XP Is easy to obtain, it is hard to lose but that's an aspect of survival. If you have a high number of XP levels, go ahead and enchant before you lose those levels. Donation doesn't affect your ability to get XP lvls faster or easier, it's all the same for everyone. By donating you get other perks, yes but XP lvls is not one of them. While you do get the armor that comes along with that rank, you can get the same buffs from a beacon. Grinding levels isn't as tedious as I would think also. As Twisted said as well, if you use a grinder of some sort you can get to lvl 30 in really no time. We do appreciate your suggestion thoug, so thank you!

I feel like it would be too easy. It is a survival server and you get things by survival methods. It would lose the meaning and obviously me misused. It would make enchanting way too easy if you have a lot of money.

Right on! You guys have found the weak point in this idea. To be honest, I didn't even consider the purity of the survival aspect; which is a major oversight on my part. As an older guy, I tend to forget things... haha!

Thought  I would add something, there's already a plug-in for that. We just use the minimal amount of plug-ins for the server.

This is actually a great idea, but I think instead of buying XP from a command, we should let players buy XP from other players that are online. This would just basically be how people "buy levels" right now, except it would be much simpler and you need not worry about being scammed. This would just improve the system we have currently, and still keep the need for grinding levels. Also the bank might be a good idea, but maybe have a 30 level bank cap for members and possibly 45 for donators? (I'm sure the admins could come up with reasonable amounts) If the admins don't add the bank idea, they should at least think about the XP trading, because that would make trading/selling our XP much easier, and still be pretty harmless.

In that case we should just have item trading as well that's more safe. :P Since items can be a lot more important than xp levels, especially if it's diamonds.
