Dracomere Shops Available
« on: 16 Apr 2014, 23:27:03 »
As of right now Dracomere has one type of shops that we are looking for someone to run. However there will be strict rules for this shop that you'll have to abide by if you wish to run it.

Rules
-You'll only be selling your item theme, nothing else
-If you decide to sell an extra item you must discuss it with the shop owner who currently runs that item
-Keep the shop stocked and with reasonable prices

The shop types that Dracomere currently has are:
-Tools/armor
-Mining/general blocks
-Enchanted items
-Wool/Dyes/Decorations
-Redstone
-Farm supplies
-Wooden items

The shop type that we are looking for is:
-Mob Drops [Such as gunpowder, ghast tears/etc]
[TidalMewMew has not decided if she's doing stained glass/clay, therefore it is not listed as an available shop yet until she has her mind made up, thank you!]

If you feel that you're able to run this shop, or you think that you have an idea for a shop type that isn't covered already in Dracomere, feel free to reply here or discuss it with me ingame or over PM.

It would depend on whether the items you're selling would coincide with the items someone else in the town is already selling, in which case you'd have to talk to them about it. What items exactly would you be selling in a general store?

food stuff, furnaces, and the some wooden items like stairs, crafting tables sticks.

general stuff.

Hm... Those items sound perfectly fine to me so far. So would it only be Foods, Furnaces, Crafting Tables, Stairs, and Sticks?

more or less, just general items, and if i'm up to it some potions or other misc items.

but mostly just the general stuff everyone uses for everything but is to lazy to build

For potions you'd need to talk to Adam on whether you'd be selling something that he's already selling and whether that's okay with him or not. However everything else sounds okay to me. I'll have to build the shop for you and set it for sale however, so I'll inform you when that's done.

We currently have a potions shop, but if you wanted to you could message the owner of the shop to see if they're wanting to sell it to you. Adam5979 is the name of the owner.

Note to everyone:
I do not like the thought of two potion shops in Dracomere, it would be too much competition on the same ground. At the same time, I won't sell my potion shop to ANYONE because it is a huge source to my in-game money. So please do not PM me about a potion shop in Dracomere again, please.
P.S. I'm opening a potion shop in Elysium.

This is not an attitude we wish for our residents to take when using our markets.  Please keep that in mind and be a bit more courteous when dealing with our fellow players in the future.  My apologies, Demonic

Twisted, if Tidal isn't going to sell stained clay or glass… may I make a shop out of it?

She hasn't decided whether she wants to sell it or not, therefore you'd have to ask her. I also already have someone that is wanting to sell the items who asked about it first.

Well, thanks for the info.
But if that would happen, would it have to be in the same shop plot?

It couldn't be in the same plot, because that's established as the potion shop and not anything else.

What Twisted asked for is people willing to sell specific items that the town benefits from selling.

Keep in mind that nobody will ever prohibit you from selling whatever you want in a generic shop that you paid for or in any other place that you own.

The aim is not to let certain people enstabilish their own monopoly over a resource (or gain free land), but to make sure that the town can offer the most wide array of items to all potential buyers.

Since it's on the same page and I discussed this briefly with Twisted some time ago (as the guy who initially outlined such areas), I'll also add that any space (full chunk or not, most probably not) not owned directly by you is of course not yours.

It's still a public space (exactly like roads, farms, library, etc) that has been given to you as a manager and will never be "sold" because it's part of a public chunk (most probably a road).

If you want your own space to do whatever you want to then you can always buy a plot.

I'll do that if possible
