What is YOUR noobstown story?
« on: 17 Aug 2012, 03:26:23 »
This is a post to try to share your in game story and adventure with the rest of the people.

For example, start out with saying something like what your first town was, or if you went out and built in the wild, if you had trouble building then met someone to help you, joined a town and became assistant, then started your own town.  Whatever it might be, I would love to hear it:)

BE CREATIVE AND MAKE IT INTERESTING (I would like to get to know some of what everybody has been through on the server).

The ONLY thing I ask besides that is to try to respect other players, or I will lock this topic (we do not want sensitive subjects coming up).

Well, I first started off at the beginning of this version, where I was greeted into the town of Mapleforge, but left about 10seconds after realizing how much plots costed. I then got invited to live in a ravine with a few other people, (emperormyrf, junnicarpenter) where I ended up making a huge tunnel with a mine at the end, leading to a mob spawner. When Emp first made Empire, I joined the town, and became an assistant to help build the town.

After about a month of being in the town, I decided to take a long break, where it brings me to where I am today.

Wow really? I had no idea you helped start the town Empire, and you came back now!

Keep going, this is interesting, but I will tell you my story.

I came onto this server around August.  When I first started, I went out into the wilderness, knowing nothing about towns or nations, as I had never played on a server aside from my own (just one with like 2 friends).  Then, I was invited to the town Winterhold. I loved winterhold and was a proud member of it.  After only a week, I became a TA in the town and had quickly learned about towny.

I started my own farming business on my 2x2 plot, which is where I met leafstorm732, he was one of my best workers.  I am very good with that kind of thing, which is how I made the money for the town.

Not too soon after, I had some problems with the Winterhold Staff, so I left to go build my own town, like I eventually wanted to.  (i am leaving out details so I don't start trouble)  Mitch182 and Leafstorm732 founded Oakvale with me, and has been with me from the start. Aside from them, Trader_jorvin has been in my town since the beginning, and has recently became a TA.  Now Oakvale has around 450k in the town bank, around a 100 residents, 3 outposts, and a great community!

More stories please :)

Try to not focus on the negative, what is your STORY.  Go into more detail, like how you decided to join Empire and stuff.  People love reading that kind of stuff, and you have been here for a while, so I'd like to hear more detail, if you do not mind doing so. :)

My story's pretty simple. I joined in March after hearing Tidal talking about the server for a week-two. Right away we went into the mining world and she gave me some supplies to start me off and introduced me into MCMMO, where I decided that I would start digging up as much dirt as I could because excavation was easier to level up and it would eventually yield me diamonds, and stone was taking too long to break.

After a few hours of that Tidal was able to get me into DragonFire which her bf ran at the time. I was able to get two plots for myself by each other and was quite content with it, I had quite a lot of mishaps around the town having to do with getting myself lost a lot and not knowing where anything was, but eventually I mastered my surroundings. DragonSoulSong (The mayor then) made me a TA because he knew me in real life as much as he knew Tidal.

At first the town was pretty simple, nothing much to it, most people were inactive and it was incredibly small. I didn't like that, so I was immediately working on getting people into the town, creating new plots for the town, etc. Dragon was inactive a lot doing other things on various things, so mostly it was me doing all the plot-digging, shuffling people around, and showing them where to go to get what they needed. Tidal wasn't all that good with making plots, so sometimes she'd help where I'd outline a plot and she'd help me dig it, but not much else than that.

Eventually while I was digging AlbatrosV5 asked to look at the town because he was tired of living in the wilderness and he wanted to pick a good town to live in, for what I think was a full day he would just wander around the town while Tidal and I were working on plots. By the end of his wandering he decided that he'd wanted to join, so we moved him into the town and into some plots that he wanted and I thought that would be it, simply another resident into the town.

After some time I realized that was not the case at all, in fact he was far more helpful than I ever expected from a random person. He quickly wanted to help with things that I was working on for the town, offering suggestions, helping as he could, most things that normal people don't actually do. We wanted to make him TA but he'd refused at first. But after some time I managed to weedle him into joining the crew of DragonFire TA, and I'd gained an even better helper than I thought.

Mostly boring everyday stuff after that, Tidal was finally able to keep her promise to me about donating for me to get me VIP (My parents would never let me use my bank for it) and I bought her dinner, and I spent a few days as VIP. Then I woke up to get on and found I had a message from Foob asking if I wanted to become a moderator. I accepted of course, and was welcomed into the staff.

More boring everyday things, working to get the town as big as I could and helping out around the nation as I needed, gathering towns with Dragon when he was on. Then after a month of Dragon being inactive I asked him on something else if I could be mayor of the town and nation, and he decided it was better off for that, so he switched us out.

In the end this all leads to where I am now, with the town the richest currently and the nation as well. We may not have the most residents, but I don't feel that's really necessary. Mostly nowadays I just collect up items, farm, mine, simple things like that while helping coordinate the town with my TAs, who recently were added: AQW_Assassian01, Esp1222, and DiggyPerro. Hopefully I'll be able to get a better story later on. :P

I was a bit of a noob when I joined this server lol, I must admit. I have been playing this game for quite a while on single player but I never thought of playing on MP minecraft. I thought I knew it all when I was playing on single player but when I joined MP... Oh boy I was wrong lol! The servers I joined with all these amazing buildings, nothing like I ever built.

After a few months of joining servers and meeting people, I came across Noobstown, this server caught my eye because I loved the name for starters and that I was a bit of a noob myself lol! So this is how my Noostown adventure began..

As I left Spawn(Noobstown) I just went straight ahead and I just kept going until I hit water, that's what I used to do on single player because I enjoyed being next to the water. When I got fairly close to water I started to make my house, it started off as a wooden house and grew into an amazing cobble house/tree farm. I also made a mine next to it as well.

I thought I was amazing because I knew how to branch mine, I never thought anyone could do it except me, So I created a little branch mine next to my house but I came across a lot of problems along the way. It turned out the area I was mining was completely ransacked by other players, it didn't matter how high or deep you were, everything was gone. Every two blocks you mined there was a new tunnel that another player already mined, it was soo frustrating! I never had this kind of frustration before because I was soo comfortable with single player and the freedom you have with it all to yourself. After my few mining trips that I had, getting a fair amount of iron, gold, coal and diamond(not that much diamond lol) I decided to do some adjustments to my cobble home.

I decided to make a harbor from my house going all the way to the sea so I could fish and hopefully take a boat ride to the unknown, when I finished the harbor and done some more cobble work on my house I wanted to go fishing, but like 10 minuets into the fishing I actually decided to stop playing on the server and went back to single player.

This single player faze lasted probably about 3 weeks, I will not bore you of what I done on singe player as this is about noobstown :D.

After my 3 week vacation from noobstown I was at the very same place that I was fishing, I placed my rod in the chest at the dock and walked home. As my home came into site my jaw dropped with terror, My home was greifed to ribbons! Everything was destroyed, my cobble roof, cobble walls and cobble floor, I was soo sad. After a few days of reconstructing my home I found that there were some chests that I couldn't open in my living room, this was really annoying because I didn't want them there. I called for help and I called for help again but when id just about given up hope a moderator came along going by the name of, "ye olde esp" and he got rid of the chests for me. That was around about the time that I learnt about the "towny" pluggin.

As I spoke to some people and learnt more about this towny pluggin and I found out that you could join a town, I was really excited about this because what understood from the other players is that you can't get greifed in towns, I was excited about this because I couldn't go through that again what happened to my cobble house. I done what a moderator going by the name of "EmperorMyrf" told me to do, ask around! I done that and eventually I got accepted into a town called "Forthwind". This town is owned by ajhle49, ajhle is one of the best people I have ever met on this server and and I was very happy to be a part of his town.

A few weeks into Forthwind, I have build another cobble house, im feeling pretty good with how things are going. I decided to have a look at the other towns, spawning town after town, after town I came across a town that I liked, only because of the amount of residents it had, this town was called, "Flinwood". The owner of Flinwood is a member called, "Miner_Man123456". After a little tour around  flinwood I decided to pack my bags and move there, a TA called, "Meep" kindly showed me to my plot.

After I settled into flinwood I started to look at the towny pluggin a bit more, I thought to myself, "you know, if these guys can make a town, why can't I?". I checked out towny prices, the cost for a town when I joined was 300,000noobs, I thought to myself, "how am I gunna get that amount of noobs!?", that's when I discovered the donation system :D!

As soon as I found out that I could make a town from donating I donated before you could say Flinwood! Got the money with my points and went on a trip. It took me quite a long time to find my spot but after a few dirt and cobble houses I found it!

My town was created! It was called, "buckfast Abby" at first but after I made my nation(Scotland) I decided to change it to, "Glasgow". I love my town and nation plus all the towns that are a part of it, I also love my nation allies as well. Glasgow has turned from nothing to wonderful land where everyone is together and social with one another. It's all I want for this server, I want everyone to be together and be friends.

I hope you enjoyed my story lol, thanks!

I will modify this post as time goes by on noobstown, adding new things that have happened.

Oh! quick note, my cobble house is still there! Beth_beth re-built it for me when she found it lol, just go straight ahead when you leave spawn, its near sand and a bunch of old shop chests floating in the air! I hope you go and check it out, it would make the story much more interesting to you!

Thank you so much, I have loved reading your stories so far. :)

I had no idea about any of this, so it is nice to get another perspective on peoples' stories as they learn on this server, and the amount that some more experienced players on the server have an impact on other, new players.  Keep them coming!

Well I started out on the server new to multiplayer, but had been playing Minecraft since back in the old 1.5 days. Noobstown was the fist MP server I decided to try out after looking around on PlanetMinecraft a good bit, and I've been here ever since. That was back in March.

I got got started when I bumped into Beastified in Noobstown proper, he helped me out, and let me move in with him. I built my first tower out at his old site in the wilderness near Noobstown, and the remnants of it are still floating there, lol

It was in the high grief area though, and kept getting hit, so I wandered out into the wilds for a good bit, until I found the location for my current Tower and mountain complex. I worked on it, and kept to myself for the most part, until I started talking to Fish one day. He showed me Oakvale, and invited me to join the town.

I was kinda apprehensive at first, since I love building BIG, and the 4 plot limit had always been the reason I avoided joining a town, but I decided to give it a try. I built the Oakvale Creeper as a small town-home, and somehow got promoted to Head Builder/TA in town.

I love it there, they let me build massive things to my hearts content, and we have a few projects biting at the bit, so I'm having a blast. That's my story on here so far.

As is often the case with my Minecraft adventures, a previous server I had played on for months underwent some changes, notably the removal of factions PvP, to which I was hopelessly addicted.

I thus searched for new servers - and just couldn't seem to find a PvP server that was comparable to the one I'd played on prior. So I decided to give economy servers a go, and I sought a well-managed but still somewhat tight-knit Towny server. And I stumbled upon Noobstown.

As I always do when joining a new server, I ran quite a huge distance away from spawn in search of land to settle. I found a pleasant little lagoon surrounded on one side by forest and the other by mountains, and set to work raising the money I needed to start a town. It was $300k Noobz back in those days, which was a monumental task for a complete Noobstown noob. After I analyzed methods of acquiring capital, I came to the conclusion that wheat harvesting was the most efficient option, and I built a massive wheat platform (that still exists to this day) out in the middle of the lagoon.

I soon realized that selling wheat for $2 with the aim of reaching $300,000 wasn't as easy as planned. I recruited my friend and fraternity brother tmccarvel to assist with the monumental undertaking. He assisted, and we hit the grind for about two weeks before we had adequate funds to finance the beginnings of our empire.

We then went exploring for suitable town locations, and decided to be novel by building a town entirely at sea. We found the largest body of water adjacent to the map border, and founded the town of Seaside. Our mission? To build a town with jaw-droppingly massive buildings and a reputation for quality over quantity.

Our first major project was the creation of a massive farm building for the town. Tmccarvel and I (but mostly tmccarvel) slaved over the tower's construction, continuing to raze fields upon fields of wheat to then spend money at Myrf's stone brick store. The amount of material in that tower alone brought tmccarvel and I both onto the "most blocks placed" leaderboard for Noobstown.

From then on, we've played a little less, but we've continued to build in Seaside - and we're proud to say we're the only city-state on the server, as we bought our nationhood with all the profits we raked in from our farm building back in the days when you could sell pumpkins/melons to the server shop.

I know I'll keep playing - though my time commitment varies, Noobstown is definitely the best Minecraft server I've played on. Keep up the good work everyone, you're all awesome and I'm quite glad to be part of such an excellent community.

I joined the server back in 2011, I had been playing multi-player more then single-player so I was used to all the basics but one thing that I was not used to was the registration, it was a new thing to me as I had only played on smaller servers that did not need that kind of security.

When I was done and finally became a member after about 5mins I started to walk around the old spawn that is now switched out, I soon found out that the server had a pretty good community so I thought to myself that I should log on the next day when more mayors of towns were hopefully on to get invited in to a town.

The next day I searched around different towns and one I really liked was Netherfrost, the mayor and now moderator on the server licksterboy invited me in to the town and helped me out get a plot, when I was all set up I started making my home, I soon started helping around town to try earn the title of TA, after about 3weeks in town I earned myself the title of TA.

I never learned the towny TA commands and that ended with me not really knowing how to set up plots and claim land so I stuck to the helping people out part, after being TA in Netherfrost for a good amount of time I created Flintwood!

Flintwood was built up by myself and others that I stole from Netherfrost that wanted to follow me, we had around 35 residents in just about 3 weeks which was A LOT on that time and as most of you know just kept going up, and we are now one of the longest surviving towns I believe which is pretty awesome :) we were the most popular town by resident number and money in bank for weeks in till I started with other games then Minecraft so I was very inactive, this caused us to lose around 50 resident and money from tax.

And then we got today, I soon dropped thinking about the resident number and money in the bank and we went down on the resident list as well, But as I most likely got the most awesome TA's a guy can want the town is now I believe the town with the most resident's again.

That is really all I have to say for now :p Will update if needed :)

I joined towards the middle of V1.(About MC beta 1.2 or 1.3) I orginally joined the server to be a "noob" and grief. I then saw the lovely staff and friendly people of the server and the griefer inside of me ran away. I have loved and stayed with this server ever since. I remember I was having chat troubles and Fatnoob came and helped me figure it out. :3 It was fun having the owner sitting in my house helping me with something as simple as herochat. :P I love you guys! THE END. True story.

I had joined, I believe somewhere in April of this year, 2012. I had joined and started out digging dirt holes and living in them, haha. I eventually moved up by talking to the server's people via helping and other things. I received a lot of my help from the almighty Myrf. Myrf had helped in in the VERY beginning of my time staying in Noobscraft. In the beginning I was a very devious individual, griefing houses and x-raying. Through all the bad moments and good moments, I had finally ironed out my deviousness, and cheaterness in me. I had told on myself to Foob for my mistake of X-Raying, and I was let off with a mere warning. I vowed to never break a single rule again, on the server. I haven't since then, broken a rule. Afterwards, I had moved onto a desert biome, where I attempted my first unofficial town. Along with my friend/s Jamesclements, and EAC777; the power struggle continued and fights were fought and many bad things happened. That did not work out so well. Everything went downhill due to everyone's bickering about who lives where and what the city hall should look like and so forth. It was a massive fight for power. I was, eventually, granted the power and I forfeited it because of my tiredness of the desert.

I moved onto a mountain biome where, eventually, I joined my first town. I had joined CloudSong. Cloudsong's mayor, Sophixtia, was a wonderful person at first. He worked and worked for the town, as far as I knew. He and I went mining together and all sorts of fun activities. Eventually, more and more people joined the town. In the beginning of CloudSong, for being Sophixtia's friend, I was granted the title-ship of TA. I had never been a TA before and didn't know anything about it's meaningfulness or anything. I had went along for about a month with the town, I decided to make my first shop, it went good at first, then I started getting lazy and neglecting it :/ :P. I, then, later, found out the commands and such. It was fun working alongside other TA's and such. In the end, I found that several TA's of CloudSong and the mayor himself, were actually bugg.ers. They had bugged several stacks of diamond and all sorts of precious items. That was know, to me, as the CloudSong incident. I was not involved with any of the scandalous acts or any breaking of the rules. TwistedLover, out of all of the people, was the nicest to me on the server. At the time, I thought she REALLY deserved her place as moderator. Her maturity, and politeness, exceeds that of other moderators, in no offense, of course. She has helped me with several things, and I am indebted to her, as well.

After moving away from Cloudsong, I had went to gaining money for my own town. It was hard work, gaining it all from scratch from harvesting wheat, and such. After it all went down it all paid off, I bought my town and everything was good! I had started expanding underground and more and more people had started coming. It was a very eventful time. Happy, those times were. Unfortunately, shortly after I had made my town, I had to move houses. After the mention of moving houses, I had very limited access to the computer and could hardly EVER get on. I got on every once in a while to check around on things and see the well-being of the town. I hadn't lost interest in the town, if anything not being on, made me want to be on more and more. Luckily I had a trustworthy TA that could get on much more than I. Nebih is an indebted friend and I couldn't have asked for a better TA. He is, by far, the best worker and one of the most trustworthy people on the server. After he went on to buy his own town, I had realized I had no more active TA's. Since my long absence of moving, my TA's had become inactive! This was a terrible scary moment, and I had dreaded the day I had to say the words that, "I'm selling my town.". It kills me to say it, but I have to because I do NOT want to see such a town go to waste. The town has GREAT potential to it, it really does. But, what comes up.... must be passed on to a better owner that is online more hehe :P

After my leave of the mountains, with it's fond memories, I had decided to live in the icy plains. I live in a dirt hole now, even with my riches, I still love the simplicity of living like a hobo, haha. ^_^ I plan on selling my town, and building my money. I was eventually thinking of joining, maybe, Dragonfire, or living solo. I will try my best to stay online for the server and I won't leave this server. This is the best server in my opinion. It has absolute wonderful staff, and wonderful mods. This is the greatest server I've ever been too, and I am glad to share my good, and bad time story. :) Thank you :D

So, I started playing Minecraft with version .1.4. It was extremely addicting, but at that time I stuck entirely to single player due to no wanting to try out multiplayer. I had to take a break from Minecraft for a while, and when I came back after 1.0 was released, servers were easy to access. My friend was playing on a server and I tested the water with that place and I liked it, except I couldn't remember which server it was. I got on the Googlez and found Noobstown somewhere listed with a ton of other servers. It caught my attention that it was all about towns. In single player, I had a tendency to seek out villages and build them up, so I was definitely interested.

I registerd for Noobstown on April 24th, 2012. When I got on, I was a little confused, but tejedakids invited me to his town. I didn't know it then, but it was an unofficial town out in the wilderness. All was good until one day I was shopping for some string and tp'd to someone near some spiders. I got the string, they died, and I somehow picked up their stuff. I was already back at the unofficial town, and he tp'd to me in excitement to retrieve it. He also allowed some people to tp to him, and Myrf came to see all the ruckus too. A TA from Flintwood (can't remember who) said the town was too close to Flintwood and that they were going to claim it. At the time, there were about 8 people living there, and none of them were online but me. I felt threatened and allowed them to claim over the town as an outpost.

When tejedakids came on, he flipped out. No mods were on, but later it was resolved when Flintwood unclaimed the outpost. Tejedakids went off the deep end and griefed the whole little town. I fleed and took a few residents with me to Myrf's town, Empire. It was there that I joined my first real town and built a house that is still there to this day. I love Empire as its a great town. Its a good place to start out. I soon owned three plots and built some creative stuff there.

Not that long into living in Empire, I met iboabdalla, who was a little eccentric in his house buying. He was always moving from plot to plot. It wasn't long before he became a supporter and bought a town. I noticed when it happened and he needed help, so I temporarily joined Heavendawn as a TA to help him get it started. What turned into a temporary circumstance turned into a little longer circumstance as I was a TA for Heavendawn up until about 2 months ago.

The town grew fast and spread like wildfire. I was there for the beginning and iboabdalla trusted me to handle everything in town because I had a strong grasp of how to do so. In real life, I am pursuing a management degree, so managing a town on Noobstown is small fries. I was the main builder in Heavendawn, constructing most of the roads and managing many of the projects that came up. I have leveled so much land that I used to be the number 1 block placer on the server who had the longest online time. That really isn't the case now, but I am still within the top 10 on both of those stats.

I had a short hiatus of very brief moments of logging on when suddenly I received a message from iboabdalla that he had to quit Noobstown due to a very busy life schedule. He told me that he was giving me the town, and at that point, my temporary helping turning into town ownership. I feel bad that I didn't go back to Empire, especially when I could have been there to help when it got unclaimed once due to a money bug that when when taxes were due. I love the work that Mishai and EmperorMyrf have been doing there, and I visit often!

Recently, Heavendawn went through a name change to Tortuga. We are in the process of putting some finishing touches on a few visible projects before we endeavor on to more great projects. Tortuga has three great TAs, XXZEPHARXX, OrbitDzn, and TekStyle4x20, ordered by seniority. I want to mention that jscheesy6 was a recent TA but was perm banned for account sharing. It is something I wish could be forgiven as he was a great person in game. XXZEPHARXX is a lively person who is extremely helpful and creative. I can say that OrbitDzn is very lively too, and loves to build stylish buildings for the town. TekStyle4x20 is very mature, money-savvy, and an excellent all around TA. I don't think the town would be what it is now without all of these people.

What does the future have in stock for me? I plan on keeping my VIP status, and growing Tortuga until it can grow no further. We are currently expanding in 2 different directions and planning on our first outpost somewhere. Only time will tell what is in store for me and Tortuga. I know I missed stuff in this story, but it was getting long.

Lots of names are missing here. Just to go through the list, here are the names of influential people I enjoy playing with, or have enjoyed playing with, on the server:
EmperorMyrf
Mishai
XXZEPHARXX
OrbitDZN
TekStyle4x20
Fizzel_Wicket
TwistedLover
Leafstorm732
Waterworth
AQW_Assassian100
Faroutdude5 (DON'T LEAVE MEH!)

Noobscraft was the second server I came to, the first, I was kicked for griefing. me? I was such a noob I actually had to WIKI griefing, because I didn't know what I'd done wrong. Thank God I was, or I might not have found the only server I like enough to stick with.

I was still totally new, only had a minecraft account for about two weeks or so when I joined, but I looked around, found out what I could and tried not to annoy people. I went to the mining world and saw, (to my horror) a stony plain, stripped of all resources.
I then noticed that the floating leave wouldn't be floating if they didn't have wood, so went round the entire jungle removing the floating wood.
That was when I noticed I had no space to call my own and decided to find a town to join.

Morningwood.
Birdman showed me round (ignoring my humour) and I fell for the town hook line and sinker. I ought a plot which already had a house on it (so it cost less, because lets face it, I was still poor)
This was when I started my random ventures, my first was when I realised that wood and sand farming then smelting glass gave something like a 3.7 profit per piece of glass compared to selling them individually. I quickly and understandably got bored.
So I decided to dig.
And dig I did, a 16x16 square straight to bedrock.

The mayor saw me slugging away, mining every single day with stone tools (yes, stone.) and we became friends, so when he started building the new spawn for Morningwood, I immediately offered to help, the monotony of digging was starting to make me want to ragequit.
Thankgoodness I didn't.
Because soon after he told me about the anniversary party, and here my imagination exploded.

This was where the first of my wonderful ( :P ) 'Everywhere Games' appeared.
Morningwood Lucky Dip.
Of course it had its kinks and problems, most things do, but people liked it, and I liked that I was the first to think of it.

From there I made my home into a tower of games, the Room of Doom, Spin to Win Slots, and Lucky Dips. I had popular competitions and I remember how proud I was when I hit 30k.

This is how I met Buckie, and eventually he poached me and my games for Buckfast (Now Glasgow) long story short, we built a pub for the sole purpose of holding a pub quiz in, I have four plots of my own, nearly 300k,  and soon we will start building 'The Carnival' (It had better be soon Buckie :P)
I've tried to find another server to share my time with, but to be frank, they just aren't as good.
TBC...

Starting off on Minecraft..

I was a real Newb when I joined the Noobscraft server/site.

I was subscribed to this guy on youtube, who decided to make a few short videos about Minecraft. I had never heard of the game, before, but he made it look like so much fun (plus his commentary was hilarious). Anyways, he only made three videos before saying "nah..not my cup of tea" and returned to vlogging. I did some searching on youtube and found hundreds of LPs for Minecraft, and finally broke down and bought the game.

At the time I worked a part time job from 1pm to 6pm, and Minecraft immediately became my life. I would come home, shower and eat, and jump on the computer till 3 am, and then sleep. I youtubed tutorials, searched on wiki, and played single player for weeks…

---
First Server

I eventually got on Google, and started searching for a server. On Oct 19, 2011 I joined my first server, Noobscraft…

At the time everyone was on a temporary server, waiting for the new Noobstown. I spent a good week or two building this amazing house on the beach, with a lighthouse that took HOURS. I eventually became allies with CrushedTaco, who helped turn my private island into a "town". He helped set up plots, and we began to think of names for the town, and who should be TAs (At the time I had no idea of the responsibilities of a real town….or what TAs were for that matter lol). That night I made a donation for the server…Noobscraft was my family/home and I was going to help it grow.

The next day, the server updated…and I lost everything. LoL

It was like a new game all over again. I swam for days (in reality 20-30 minutes) to the edge of the map.  I never joined a town, and I decided to remake my house, and lighthouse, except bigger and better.

I spent a lot of time on the server, and on the forum and eventually filled out an Moderator Application.  I was 23 with 10hrs a day of free time…and NO experience.

I got the job. Training began immediately, and Thank God for Inneed. I NEVER realized, what it took to be a Moderator. The patience, the time, the knowledge of bucket. I didn't know how to run a town let alone help with griefing, and codes (as I call them). I wasn't the best at it, but I helped where I could. Answered questions on the forum, took care of issues on the server.

I remember when we had to apply for membership, and people were constantly nagging at the Mods to make them members because there was an error with their application. Inneed was my savior… :P

---
I'm still here...

I'm sure you realize by now, there's a downside to this story.  As you can see, I'm no longer a Mod here on this server.  Late February/ Early March, one of my coworkers found out, her cancer was back. It was a very emotional time, because she wasn't only my coworker, but one of my best friends. She eventually made the decision to move back to TN, and I had the option to work full time. Times are hard, and I needed the money. I resigned from the Moderating position in March of 2012…

I now work from 7:30am-6pm…and when I'm not working I'm TIRED. I constantly visit the forum, and read over topics/games/music and I even put up some art from time to time…but the server rarely sees me.

As far as I know, my house is still located on my private island with it's own lighthouse looking over the sea. I sure do miss you guys. Time to get to bed…I have to work in the morning.

P.S. Still wear my Noobscraft shirt. <3

Lol I havn't stalked on the forums for a while decided I could reply to this of anything Lol well my story could of started when the server just started (Tell in a sec) but it didnt.

It was a normal day browsing PMC when I saw this server I didnt pay much attention to it as I do most servers because at the time I played on a great server(forgot it lol) but I was admin on it played it for 3 months straight this is when I first got mc, I knew no commands back then I barely knew the controls (well got banned from it later on for giving away to much stuff lol) then I remembered this server the reason I remembered it because when I was browsing I watched the trailor and it came back to me. So I got on pmc searched the server joined it and started as a newbie. I applied for member and all that but right after I joined since I was new to towny and mcmmo and that(I read spawn signs lol) I asked to join a town danniel (forgot the numbers) added me to his town lived in it for 5 minutes then donated got tons of stuff, met a cool player and me and him went off to make the town (not sure if its still alive) theflat Later he quit and I sold the town.
I was banned some few days after that(forgot why)
couple months later my I was finnally unbanned I finished making my epic house in the wild(Think waterworth has it) many of you saw it though I played a lot climbing up the richest player list people thinking I hacked to get money for first town but somebody named angel(something) donated me 80k and use donor points for rest. But I also sold TheFlat after towns rose to 300k (bought when was 100k) lol I did start X-raying after that Dont really care to admit it plenty of x-ray blockers out there if you dont want people to do something put a block lol.(see what I did there)
Then I later got banned from noobscraft by tidalmewmew I think lol And I dont blame her for banning me still think my ban was unfair but I am far past that.
But as waterworth, Fatnoob, and a few members know I never trully left the server(Only they will understand this and will be meaningless to others lol)

See this proves not all stories end happily -_-

I joined really early April and right away i joined Forthwind run by ajhl49. Me and him pretty much became friends in the first week of me playing. The second week i wound up becoming friends with pretty much all of the TA's that were active.

One day aj said i could go help Dmonemac95 and tyja (2 of my good friends on the server) and i said i couldn't destroy the house cause i didn't have any perms. All of the sudden he promoted me to TA (i was helping build structures, donate and clear land for the town). I thanked him and got to work right away.

I built many amazing structures (in my opinion) for the town that everyone seemed to like. I built the nation a nation castle, i built a town bank, i built a spleef arena, i built a town market that isn't finished yet lol, i built a resident market area (residents can set up little booths), and much much more.

But everything went downhill when 3 rogue TA's destroyed the town. This destroyed around 5 of my builds cause it destroyed all entities (signs, doors, etc.). I slowly bulit it up and finally i fixed almost all of them.

After this i started helping other towns in the nation and once again i told aj i had no perms in other towns to build or anything and he gave me a temporary NA position which i guess he made permanent after a couple weeks.

Once again everything went downhill. My account had been getting hacked. Someone had changed my password (i hadn't shared any password info with anyone) and i have no idea how whoever it was figured out the password or got into my account. I figured out they did it when i couldn't log onto my account and then i checked mcbans and was  banned on a server. After a week and contacting mojang i got my account back. I decided to make a new account (achmedofheaven) so that if this happened again i could have a backup.

Then came the summer where i went to sleepaway camp for 1 month. 2 days after i got back i tried logging onto my account and then i couldn't get on it. It was hacked again so i just gave up trying to login with that account. This is the reason for my absence.

Luckily the backup account allows me to get on the server. I go on to say hi 2-3 times a week. I will be playing much more once i get my items back and everything which has been worked out and now waiting on fatnoob to come on to do the transfer.

Thanks for reading!

Well I've been here since V2, and it's been a different adventure for each version that I've been here for. Noobstown was my second server and final server, and I don't intend to switch to another.

V2:

My home was a cave home. I simply walked until I found a lake (this was back before there were deep ones) and dug straight under it, closing it off behind me. I kept digging until I found a natural cave, and then I carved a room out of it. Maybe a month or so later, that cave turned into a huge complex with no less than 10 people living in it. During this time I had worked hard to get to the top of the McMMO leaderboards (which was really easily done at the time. I was the leader at level 400 something).

It all ended when mastery910 lined the place with TNT and lit it up. The grief was beyond repair, despite Angel_Lord and Waterworth's efforts, so I moved to another cave. It wasn't long after that that the server began its transition to V3.

V3

Right before the transition, I had befriended ozzmancometh. We began construction of an underground (and underwater) town, which became the first iteration of Empire. It didn't really get too much attention but I didn't mind, I just enjoyed mining. In the town is where I met JunniCarpenter, who would help make my town look pretty free of charge. I also managed to get to the top of the leaderboards again, but I was undone at the last minute by Uncom77 before the version ended.

While ozz, Junni and I were building Empire, seshyo (another friend) was building a massive cathedral, which is still the largest player built structure I've seen on noobstown. It was a bummer when it was all undone for V4.

V4:

Ozz had left by now, and me and Junni had become good friends. Both her and seshyo were made moderators sometime during this version. Instead of building under a lake as I had done in both V2, V3, and the temps between, I decided to keep my house above ground. It wasn't long before I went back down underground and made another cave home. This time though instead of making just a house, I made an underground terrarium with a house inside. Eventually me and Junni were able to afford a town (Empire V2), so we just bought the land around my house for ourselves without adding anyone else to the town besides my brother, Samoht42Swift, and my girlfriend, dandyhandy. I used the town to protect all my neat redstone machines and Junni used it as a base for her wool business, which turned out to be very lucrative. This continued until the end of the version, and by the end Junni resigned as a mod and seshyo was de-opped due to an account breach. By the end, I was on the top of the McMMO leaderboards again.

V5:

After a somewhat long temp-server period, V5 happened. A few days before it went live, I donated and got the Veteran rank. Once we were all let loose to ravage the land, I searched for the largest ocean biome I could find and dug straight down as I had done in V2. This time though I hit a ravine, and I carved my home out of that. Soon after I started carving Junni joined me and added a bit of her flair to the cave. Jackmcclare had made his home somewhat near me on the surface and became my neighbor, and AQW had also moved into the ravine. We eventually scrounged up enough money to make a town and made the current Empire far away from the ravine. After a fair amount of sprawling and growth, it became the largest town on the server, over 100 residents at the time. The admins apparently enjoyed the politics of my town, since they decided to ask me to be a moderator. I gave my town to dandy once I was opped, since Junni was unable to play as often as she used to due to irl events.

Some may remember, but I built a large shop that bought and sold nearly all raw material items and it gained a ton of popularity. However, it was a very large financial drain. Until the shop died, I had lost about 600k with almost nothing to show for it. It died when my town was lost due to an iconomy bug, since when a town dies it loses all of its wall hanging things (like signs for chestshops). The town came back, but is very stagnant with no growth in the near future.

My McMMO reign was brought to an end thanks to TwistedLover, who has surpassed me in almost every category. I had a solid lead, but apathy combined with being busy due to moderating put me under.

TL;DR I like to live in caves.
