Will the development build or the stable build for bukkit 1.7.2 ever come out, I am starting to worry because as this tweet by EvilSeph (Team Lead for the Bukkit Project) there might not be any stable build because of some minecraft issues itself D:

While we will have @CraftBukkit dev builds, there are issues in Minecraft we can't fix that may prevent us from getting anything stable out.

What will it be a better choice, use the Beta and not stable Bukkit builds? Play the server on 1.6.4? Wait even more?

I am going for the option of playing in 1.6.4, I know the server looks great because of all the great effort of the staff team but I cant wait xD!

That worries me slightly as well. I hope they're able to figure something out....I miss the server deeply. Haha

I'm sure they will find a way to get it all working. If not, i'm sure Minecraft will do something to help them, as tons of Minecraft servers use Bukkit.

Bukkit runs in to problems on almost every Minecraft Version, just wait it will get there, if it doesn't Bukkit will contact Mojang and try to solve the issue that way.

Simply put, the code has been changed a lot and they need time to figure how to make it work again.

Mojang still has a very personal take on mod support, deal with it.

I've seen quite a few bukkit servers running 1.7.2 with limited plugins such as economy and essentials, I'm not sure how they obtainedit but that does give some hope.

Seen as Bukkit is now a part of the Mojang team, they work together to get everything sorted. Sure it will take some time as Miner said but, they'll get it there!

It's not actually 1.7.2, there was a note on the Bukkit forums warning about such servers.

Those servers made their own bukkit but it dosnt work very well

I've been playing on another towny server that was running on 1.6.4 that updated to 1.7.2 about a week ago while they work on building a new server from a 1.7.2 seed. I haven't seen or noticed any problems. Oh and BTW, they have already announced they will be transferring everyone's MCMMO skills, chest contents, and builds (if possible) over to the new server. So, that is possible to be done as well.

Well screw this... I'm not joining noobscraft at all if we have to wit any longer. I don't care if bukkit is stable at this point or not, and if its really that bad to have a beta version, then stay in 1.6.4 until there's a stable version in a later update of Minecraft. I just want my dang Noobscraft, and if I can't get that then I'm converting to another towny server permanently. Sorry guys, but my patience has run out. They said V6 would be open by mid summer, that didn't happen. Then they said end of summer. Didn't happen. Then when V5 finally went down, they said 1-2 weeks until V6 would be up. Its going to be 2 MONTHS in less than 3 days. Im done waiting and so are a lot of other people and this news has made me unbelievably mad. I really like this server, but if we're going to continually disappointed, I'm leaving.

im surprised that they aint at least put up a temp world for everyone to play on...id put up a 1.72 vanilla world till they updated bukkit, then they can get the plugins working and release v6 which will be about the time 1.8 will come out..cant wait to check out all their hard work.

I agree with you, the wait is getting a bit annoying, but if you left now you would have waited for nothing, it's probably just a couple more weeks, chill out and understand that the Admin Team are trying their best to get the server up and running, but it's pretty much nothing they can do cause they have to wait for Bukkit.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind if they simply opened the server in 1.6.4, let us play till Bukkit is stable and Minecraft 1.7.2 Ready, then took it down and updated, I would more like a few days of downtime while they updated the server from 1.6.4 to 1.7.2, than being unable to play till Bukkit is updated.

Bah, by the time the Bukkit dev team gets a stable build we will have already missed Noobmas... And I've been patient long enough... I've been so patient that I've put up with all the previous disappointments we've gone through... I'd rather play on a server that's not as good but one that we can actually PLAY on then be stuck just thinking about how great it's going to be and then continually being told we'll have to wait another 1 or 2 months after being PROMISED that we would be playing on it by that time. We should already be almost 5 months into V6... If there hadn't been any delays, we would have been in since July! I'm a patient person, but when I am continually disappointed, I start to lose that patience. I'm at the end of my rope, and if V6 isn't open by Thanksgiving then it'll probably never open... It's probably not reopening anyways because if Bukkit can't open a stable version then Noobscraft can't open... And if Bukkit isn't able to produce a stable version, what does that mean for the server? I haven't heard from any of the admins lately and they can't seem to comply with our requests to just stay in 1.6.4 until Bukkit can come out with the next stable version. I mean really guys what's so hard about putting up a server you've already tested and know that it's stable in 1.6.4? All the other big servers are doing it, and look! They're just sucking off of the players from Noobscraft who are quickly losing interest. I'd rather play in an older version than not play at all.

I just can't look at the positive side of this any more... I'm fed up with all of this. I know it isn't the admin's faults about the Bukkit 1.7 complications, but it is their fault that they aren't putting V6 up in 1.6.4 like the smart servers that run Bukkit are doing.

Yea, I'd like to see the rule too xavier. I'm kinda getting tired of all the threats and name calling when people aren't rainbows and unicorns all the time.

When the rules were spelled out more, it was included. Now that they have been simplified, it isn't included word-for-word. The new version of the rules (and moderation) is more of a basis, seeing as they cannot possibly lay out every single scenario; so, it all goes on more of a severity basis. To my knowledge, this rule is still in place mainly because:

If I'm wrong on this, I'm sure one of the Admins will correct me... But as far as I know, that rule still stands.

I know everyone is frustrated and just venting, but I just want to make sure everyone is being careful with what is being said so that nothing escalates.
