He meant American Football...We throw the football more than we kick the football...Therefore if he got a group of American Football players, gave them snowballs, they would infact throw the snowballs.

Or if you want to make things less complicated, you get a group of baseball players...Since they never kick.

Technically no, golden apples regenerate your health when your still alive xD, jumping off something huge would kill you instantly as you hit the ground so the golden apple wouldn't be very helpful.. haha!
