I have recently purchased a brand new computer (Alienware X51) 8GB Memory, 4th generation Intel® Core™ i5 Processor, 1TB Hard Drive, Windows 7. Hopefully this will allow me to have excellent fps (yeah, alienware is a bit pricey but uhwell)

Anyways,

What computer do you have? What's your computer specs? (curious haha)

You got ripped off

Every time I hear alienware I cringe. They are about 2x the price it would be to build it myself.

Lets see, I have a laptop for portable gaming that I have to put an FPS cap on every game and I have my multiple monitor home entertainment system where I can watch TV while playing Skyrim while also playing Minecraft at the same time. The laptop was around $3000 and the PC was around $10,000 (because of the 4K HD monitors, luckily I got two of them as a birthday present, so it was more like $4000.)

Edit: I get most parts for cheap since I work at a computer company, so the computers are a bit cheaper to build then they would be for a normal person.

maybe it was a super alienware computer? lolz. now i wanna know why the computer was so expensive. im the only person in my family's house without a laptop. all i have is a DERPING DERPY DERPFACED GOOGLE CHROMEBOOK! its not even a real laptop. i cant get minecraft on this thing! lolz

Imo People should not buy laptops for gaming. Just build a damn pc, Its like lego but easier.

It costs 10k because of 3 monitors I have. Since there 4k HD there super expensive.

I have a laptop because I tend to do a lot of travel and I can't let that take me away from the game.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that...

I'm using an i5 3570K, 8GB low voltage RAM, a cheap Radeon 7770xfx , Asrock MB and a 550w xfx power supply
Bought last year for less than 400€, silent, cool (I mean the temperature) and never got a problem with games of any sort.

With a 10€ USB decoder stick (I'm not even joking) I can watch DTV, listen to the radio, record whatever I want.

The only thing I'd change is the hard disk (that I didn't upgrade) since it's an old one and it's feeling its years of heavy duty.

I use an Asus Republic of Gamers G74SX-DH71. All-around great gaming laptop which is a couple of years old but still current with today's gaming units. I've had 0 issues with it, and have always been able to play any game with max/ultra settings with no issues. I've only upgraded the storage and RAM, everything else is stock. I bought it as a demo unit from Best Buy for $600, which was a great deal considering it had 0 scratches or dings, and this model was initially $1299.

I'm waiting for DDR4 to become a thing before I update since DDR4 will run at a higher clock rate (4.2 GHz from DDR3s current 1.6GHz) that it'll require an all new processor and mobo in order to actually use it fully.

Well i just get left with all the old computers my family uses, so the one right now is Windows Vista Home Premium.

Memory(RAM): 2.00GB
System Type: 32-bit operating system
The problem is that its run out of memory and always gets a message saying "Your computer has run out of memory please close Java" which i cant do because thats what i use for minecraft. The next problem is that minecraft keeps crashing because it has no memory so ive quit minecraft for a while till i can get some RAM on this

And also because my computer all together keeps crashing (mind you this computer has over 2000 errors and problems with it)

Have you tried reinstalling java. That should fix your problem. Sadly this pc will still get crazy lag. to fix this you can get away with buying a cheap gpu http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graphics-100292DDR3L/dp/B004N3BH0C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387150509&sr=8-1&keywords=5450 and that should run minecraft well. Installing a new gpu is easy http://www.wikihow.com/Install-a-Graphics-Card. Hope this helps

Ive tried updating it just today to windows 7 service pack and in the middle of the whole update it said i had to buy some stuff (and since i barely have any money cause i cant work since im too young to.. i cant buy anything) so trying to buy ram or buy a new pc will be very hard to do

It would be great, except the dimwits who made the updates for the computer didn't make them compatible with Windows, which is the only thing I can run on my computer, so since I can't update, my computer has been going downhill fast. Just now, I logged on and was alarmed to see an error message saying the computer could not start up due to corrupted files, yet it couldn't find any corrupted files after half an hour of running diagnostics.

I have a feelig you need a upgrade :p How can you run Minecraft on 2GB of RAM? you must be getting like 10 - 15 fps.

But to answer the topics question, I got the HP Pavilion P6-2475eo, easier for you to look it up for the specs, cause I can't remember them... :L But it's a pretty good pc, over 100fps on Minecraft easily.

Even if you managed to upgrade Windows, that machine can't run Windows 7 in a decent way so there would be no point.

Short of handing out the equivalent of ~400€ for new components I'm afraid you can't do much else
