Suggestions & Ideas / Re: A Plugin Idea:Bookworm
« on: 14 Mar 2012, 20:56:40 »
Nope, bookworm disabled book stacking for all books... and the way it was implemented, each player was only allowed one book which was tied to the character.

P.S. good to see you too. I'm not really here though... Lent just got a bit boring earlier >.<

I lol'd.

The problem I've always had with these is:
1. lack of actual documentation
2. What little evidence is offered, is just anecdotal
3. They're presented in that typical "paranormal mystery" show style. Made for entertainment, not as being informative.

That being said, there's plenty of mistakes and outright falsehoods we accept as fact. I wouldn't be surprised if plenty of what we think and know as a society isn't 100% true. Case in point being the documented mistakes in plenty of american history textbooks.

I went on there today... Wow, I tried to buy something... it's just too volatile...

16 of an item and it's already 50% of the way to its ceiling... There's no point in buying ANYTHING at that rate, if an item can go from floor to ceiling in a stack or two of sales...

And selling, there's no incentive for bulk as after the first stack or two you're at the floor again and it's just a dumping ground...

5
Thats the absolute most basic way I can say it...

You know how to count?
1 2 3 4

Then put in the 8ths...

1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &

Then the 16ths

1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a

6
It's a "1 2 3 4 e & a" Where you start a buzz roll on the & of 4.

Then every now and then it's the same thing but you follow it up with a "1 e & a 2 3 4", no emphasis on the 1, emphasis on the 2...

Dmonemac, if you read Joe's reply, there is a "floor" which will stop prices from becoming too low or high.

"floor" only implies a hindrance in the downward direction.

Unless there is also a ceiling.

Towns & Nations / Re: The Borderlands
« on: 22 Feb 2012, 01:41:49 »
Yup. No matter how hard you try, it just keeps bouncing you back, exclaiming how you have reached the border...you see a block of diamond just past it, but your efforts to get to it are utterly futile. 3:) (There's not really any diamond blocks past it, that bit was just meant to make it sound good. XD ) Though I've personally hypothesized that it might be possible to get past it by reaching the border in the nether then portalling to the overworld from there, in theory you should be past the normal border by roughly ( w*8 ) - w blocks, where 'w' is the distance at which the world border lies from (0, 64, 0), which is about 5,000 on noobstown if I remember correctly. Though, I've never tried it myself, and I'm really pretty shure it wouldn't work, but again, it sounds good. *shrug*

Did that on another server with world borders... I made a portal at 1000 in the nethers, so it should be at 8000 in the main world... it world generated the area at 8000 causing MASSIVE lag for everyone... and then when it got done it teleported me to the border...

Unless Noobscraft isn't in compliance with various US laws. There should be a clearly visible 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of each email, that or a way to change email notification settings.

Mine craft name: bad_german

Do you have a microphone? Yes. I even have a radio voice...

Will you be able to talk when streaming? I have plenty of bandwidth when I pull out a Cat5, it depends soley on the streaming/capture software, some software handles better than others.

How long can you stream up to? Depends on the day, no real limits.

Age? 21 (yes, I feel old)

Why you want to become a streamer? I like filling out applications mostly, beyond that I think it'd be fun to do... 8|

How many hours per day:   Far too much, I'd wager on an average of 8 hrs/day?
Why you want this role:   I'm on at a time when other Mods and Admins generally aren't (9pm-2am PST), I'm responsible and sensible.
Past experience:   The only related experience would be I was admin for years on another game's forum, and held a high rank ingame. Memberships fluctuated from 20 to over 100 players.
Time zone:  Pacific
Additional information:  I raise ducks in real life. I think thats about as 'additional information' as it gets... I'm in a senior in college, I play to kill time in lue of being employed.

You're not bankrupted. There hasn't even been a material loss.. you've just had your profit margin adjusted to half of what it was...

They also took out netherrack, sad day. Yet the game goes on.

I've had the same thing happen with nether warts and pistons... I'm not sure if the item value solves it, I just drop traded the items... It solved it once for Lapiz (labeled as "Ink Sac:4" or so...)
