Flying has only ever been a way for the staff to have better mobility during grief checks or watching over people to look for anything wrong. It's also been used for drop parties before systems were made. Flying isn't something that everyone should have the ability to obtain in a survival setting. The only possible way I see flying being implemented as a temporary donation perk would be if it was only on your wilderness world plots, and once you left those, the flying was removed.

Why do you want to be a ChatMod?: I was a Moderator on here before, back during V5 and I kind of fell of the face of the planet during the end of that and most of this version. I want to be part of the staff team again because I loved being able to help with any problems that members have. Even though V6 removes a lot of the main problems I remember dealing with as a Mod, (Griefing), I'd still be able to help everyone by removing nuisances from the game and/or chat or helping to solve disputes between members. Being able to help others was the best part of being staff, and will always be the best part. I've gotten back into MC again because of playing with other groups in modded servers, and building on those made me want to try to make cool things in vanilla. So, since I despise SSP, I thought I'd try to get back into SMP here on Noobstown. I've been able to answer some of the common questions about some of the Minecraft updates and how it affects Noobstown since there's always the people who are worried the server will change or that they'll lose their things.

Now that I'm getting back into the game and the server, I'm going to try my best to not just drop of the face of the world like I have done in the past. If I have to be absent for a period of time due to college or other responsibilities, I will try to notify the admins. Currently I've been able to juggle college and fun but that may change over the next year as I stack more classes on myself for dual majoring, and a possible minor. However, with watching people on Twitch play other video games like Soma, I get inspired to build amazing new expansions to my home and so want to be on as much as possible. Hopefully, with this dedication to a build, I'll be on much more often and get more involved with everyone and everything going on.

Guess I'll pop in and drop off my friend code as well. Not up to battling for now, but I would like friend safaris. I forget what mine is, so someone can tell me if you try it. Maybe I'll try (and fail) at battling when I get better team members.

But letting anyone and everyone have the perks is a bit unfair to all the other Veterans. We get the perk as one of the only special things we have that no one else does, (not even VIP), and so we deserve to keep the perks to ourselves. Yes we have the title and a colored name, but that essentially does nothing for us. The armor gives us perks because we earned the title, be it from getting top MCMMO skills or Top Time Online or even from tournaments or getting it gifted to us. Everyone who got Vet deserves it and deserves to have a special perk no one else does. Taking the exclusiveness of the perks away basically makes us normal members. We have nothing else special.

Apparently Vet Armor gives perks to anyone who wears the full set. Because of this, some Veterans have been abusing the command to sell the armor to people. This seems unfair because it's one of the only things us Veterans gain as a bonus for only ourselves. If possible, could the perks be limited to only Veterans? It's not really fair when everyone can wear it and some vets are just abusing that.

Did you ever consider asking some of your most dedicated players what they might like or not like for V6 before all the development work started?  I know I was in the top 10 in total time spent in V5.  I was in the top 5 in time after V6 was announced.  If that doesn't count as dedicated, I don't know what does.  I was also a multiple time donator.  I don't recall ever being asked what preferences I might have, or what's important to me.  Not only that, but I (just like everyone else) lost everything (mcmmo, builds, money, special items, etc., etc., etc...) especially all the time I invested.  I wasn't given one lick of consideration, not one.  When I try to suggest something important to me it is dismissed every single time.  You might want think a moment about who really has a right to be annoyed at this point.

You're acting as if you're extremely special out of the thousands of overall members to this site. You aren't any more special than any other user. Joe and the other admins took their own personal time to make these worlds. I understand you might not like the fact that you didn't get a say in how every block was placed, but when it comes down to it, no one did. No one but the admins. They wanted to make a world that had many different things in it to try to satisfy everyone. They did this all before 1.7 was released, which added all those new biomes. And then, they had to hold off their release because of 1.7 and their own lives. So what if they don't add the natural biomes? I sure as heck don't care because I've always loved everything the admins have built for us players.

Also, you say you're one of the most dedicated? Have you spent hours helping this server to run? Have you been on this server since the beginning, watching it grow, change, and adapt to all the new members and new updates to the game? No, you haven't. Mostly only the admins have, with a few members who have stuck around this long.

Now, stop whining, please, and let the admins do what they've always done: run this amazing server, site, and community to the best of their abilities.

To add to this, I want to personally thank Joe, James, and Lawrence for making these worlds for us. They're amazing in my eyes and I can't wait to explore and build in them!

Small Volcano but an island of desolation, gravel and dead trees etc.

Neb, I could make a power core in the crevaces of that volcano, and we could eventually work on why the island is so desolate by it being a side effect of the lab. :D

It's about 19 chunks wide

I like that one too. It seems like one that is active and recently erupted since it's almost all stone. A perfect place to construct a secret laboratory full of death and destruction! Oh, and your planes. :P

When might the wilderness world preview be coming.

The Wilderness preview will most likely be live tomorrow, the problem is uploading the world to the server itself which takes a full day; the world is very big.

This looks amazing, Joe, and I can't wait to see how the Wilderness world will compare. I'm also excited to see what biome Twisted will choose and then how the town will span out across the land. I'll probably end up touring this world a lot just to see how each town uses the land they chose.

Can't wait for V6 to finally arrive, and I might be getting 2-3 IRL friends to join when it does.

The only downside to a 1.8 update would be that the plugins would still have to be altered to work with the new update, and people who use mods like Optifine, such as myself, in order to play the game effectively would have to wait some time for that to happen, as Optifine is not even updated 100% to 1.7 yet.


However, I can't wait for the server to finally release. I haven't played survival since V5 went down, and have only played a game type called Dwarves vs. Zombies.

Also, happy belated New Year. :D

No thats perfectly fine, im glad to see that more people on these forums are intrested in 3d modelling, the model is nice, not to high poly or detailed, but the texture does it and thats what matters with game related models. When it comes to the texturepart, im not to great at that yet, so most of my stuff is just bare.

I wasn't even finished with the initial model, so I wasn't close enough to color or texture the model. I don't have the program I used on my computer, as it's only for my school's computers. However, if I get to do another day of 3-D modeling, I'll probably either work on that one or start a less detailed one so I can give more color and such to it.
