I'm using the following:

  • Recurrent Complex
  • Deccocraft
  • Pam's Harvestcraft
  • Carpenters Blocks
  • Archimedes Ships
  • Tinkers Construct
  • Ye Gamol Chattels
  • Flaxbeard's Steampower
  • Fossils Archeology Revival
  • Open Blocks
  • Steamcraft 2
  • Twilight Forest
  • Growthcraft
  • Mr Crayfish's Furniture Mod
  • NEI
  • Journeymap
  • Buildcraft

I used to have The Grimoire of Gaia, but it made some biomes nearly impassible due to mobs that would spawn during the day.

Merry Christmas from my private game! Can you spot all the mods I'm using for this build?

As you can see below, there's a mismatch between my Minecraft skin and the skin that shows up in my profile. It's the generic Steve skin, not mine. Now, I did recently update my skin, could it be an issue downloading it from the Minecraft server? I've checked in game and my updated skin is being used there.

OK, this morning I put in an access to Battleships Island: An underwater tunnel!

It cost 6 potions of underwater breathing and one night vision potion. You can now walk from my fishing dock to the underwater park and out to Battleships Island. Eventually the grass will grow all the way out there.

The main thing is earning enough noobs between voting and earning chunks by playing so I can properly set out the course.

And everyone would need a stack of boats as well. :-)

This is a project that I've been working on ever since I heard that we build our own event space, I decided to build a boat racing track. (Power to the Players - Official Events!)

I'm calling it Battleships Island, and I plan to add several redstone actuated obstacles and the like to make the race more interesting to the participants. No PVP, but I hope they can at least attack each other's boats.  3:)

Here's my work in progress:

Um, what time is that for us in the antipodes?

10
No traps, well, that rules out 'the floor is lava' parkour

I'm not sure, that's technically not a trap. Especially if it's part of the entire experience. I mean, if you create a mob spawn by keeping a portion of your dungeon in the dark, is that a trap?

11
So, contests that don't require control blocks? Of if they do, will staff provide them?

Hmm, I might see about a boat race. It would have to have obstacles. I'll let you know.

What's the limitation on providing items for use by the participants for sale? Like the fishing rods for fishing events?

Yea! I got close this time! Next time!

Thanks TweeksTweek. Looking at the Live Map, both names are visible, with FreezeBreeze on top of Pembrookshire. So you can't see the new name. Call the Mods! The Modifiers!

My most memorable experience was the night I spent up in a tree after claiming a plot of land in the middle of jungle biome. I spent the previous night hiding out in someone else's plots from the mobs. I eventually built me a small place up in a tree and it's still there, just added on to.

But that long night listening to the throng of zombies underneath me moaning and groaning is still memorable.

17
Thanks Gamergirlxo! I just took a look at the Live Map and yup, there's a fishing dock a float'n in the air with a pond!

18
So, I'm wondering if my pole can reach the water from way up there on Skyside.  :)

Do you have a surface fishing pier for this event, or will be fishing from a pool?

19
Well don't worry about me. My /echest is full of junk!  :D

On my offline maps, I use MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod. It has nice furniture that you can build. Also Decocraft has some interesting furniture that can be made.

Noobstown General / Latest update to my Wilds Domain!
« on: 9 Jun 2015, 04:48:35 »
I've just finished building an underwater temple, though I still need to furnish it. But it's beautiful looking in Chroma Hills 1.8 texture pack. It's part of my underwater kingdom that I'm building NW of the Wild Spawn.

It abuts my underwater park, also a work in progress.

Once everything is done, I'll move my /visit location to the park.

Market Place / Re: Granite, Diorite and Andesite
« on: 6 Jun 2015, 17:06:11 »
That's a good question. I tried to sell some polished granite and Andesite and it didn't go. Too high a price, 25,000 N. I might try again at a lower price point, say 5,000 N.

24
After reading the rules, I find that my "baby" arena is two small. For now. Given time, I could build a 5x5 chunk underwater arena.

Sorry for the confusion.

25
By myself, I've built the Under the Sea Mob Arena on my Wilds property. The entrance to it is at -948, 66, -1128, if you want to directly TP there.

Here are some screenshots of it:

The entrance is on my Public Fishing Dock and leads on down to the dome.

The dome built underwater, consisting of glass blocks and glass panes.

Going down the stairs, and through a underwater tunnel, you see the dome!

The grass is still growing, but it should be completely covered if used for a mob arena! It's on two levels, this, the dome level, and this:

The Dungeon Level. Plenty of columns to duck behind, while dodging skeletons!

And there's another way back to the surface if the dungeon proves to strong for you!

And when you're back on the surface, you can plunk a few mobs from this vantage point.

So please consider this my submission for the Mob Arena contest. Thank you!
