Hello Fellow Noobs,
Our oakvale staff would like to give you an update on the progress of Oakvale
and the plans we intend to implement as soon as we possibly can. (only the ones
that aren't a secret, at least)
Unfortunately, we aren't recruiting residents as of yet as we are still working
on plots and setting up all of the town amenities, rules, town staff hiring,
and getting our own forums back up and running.
Here is a list of things that we will have to the town when it becomes available to
the public (or ASAP):
- A greenhouse with water drops to multiple levels of farms of all kinds.
- Blacksmith, enchanting table, Brewing Stations, and furnaces for your use.
- PO boxes inside the Town Hall for free repairs
- Large Scale Projects coming soon (details of these will come later)
- A zoo for members to use and benefit from.
- A market place near spawn on the right and left side when you first teleport
to town.
- The renowned Oakvale Dance club for fellow town members and nation members. We
like to party!
- Jobs around town (will be posted either in the Town Hall or near spawn in
front of the town hall)
- Map of the town (will be inside the town hall)
- Town Outposts for more plots and for faster access around town (will be open
as soon as we raise the money/ get the money donated to the town)
- PVP arena for when we feel we need to take out some frustration, for fun, or
for competitions the town or the nation holds.
- A whole area for Embassy Plots (nation is our first priority, then comes
people outside the nation)
- A graveyard for people who have got permanently banned or quit playing
- A church for where people can donate to Charity for the poor, where we could
have a church service, and for weddings.
- Lots of Events to come (horse racing, mazes, pvp competitions, building
competitions for architect, and dance competitions)
Thank you once again for your support of Oakvale. We will never be able to
complete all of these things without the support from our staff members and
fellow oakvalians, so if you ever want to help just ask any of the town staff
(listed above). Hope to see all of you soon and long live Oakvale!

As I'm sure everybody is excited just like I am for the release, people have been getting ready and preparing for it in just a few days. But as I've been pondering around the forums trying to gather all of the information about V6, nowhere seems to tell us what mini games will be in the upcoming release (the ones that are automatically done 24/7 I'm assuming). So regardless what will actually be in the game, what would YOU guys like to see put in the game when it comes to mini games? I'll start it off with two words..... TURF WARS. Now it's your turn. Here is a topic that came up as an idea recently, as I'm sure everyone is just as excited as I am about V6 being released in just a few days. But I got to thinking, and with everything that V6 has going for it, people might think it is overwhelming at first. So why not think for a minute or two, and share/discuss with everybody what your top 5 goals are that you would like to achieve in v6 of Noobstown? Setting goals and discussing with the community can be a great way to get involved, and get ideas on where to start when you first step into the new minecraft world. Direction is nice to have, especially if you get distracted as easily as I do. *Please don't make fun of other peoples goals on this forum post, we are all friends here and we want a nice start to the new version, so try to keep it friendly * I'll start off, here are my top 5 (in no particular order): 1. Rebuild Oakvale - I once made a city back in the day, where Oakvale thrived and the community was like family. I want us to remake it, and bring back the community we once had. GO OAKVALIANS! 2. Build a monument - It will be remembered on the server for newcomers,veterans, and staff. People will gaze in awe of it's beauty.  #probablywonthappen3. Become a part of the noobstown team - I love this server, and it's one of the biggest reasons why I love minecraft so much. I SALUTE TO YOU NOOBSTOWN V6 4. Do something large and not necessary - I will try and attempt to make the largest tree on the server. That is, if I don't fall to my death first.... #justletmehavethisoneplease5. Redstone - I will attempt to try and actually figure out how the new redstone pieces work from the redstone update, since I still haven't made time to practice on it! Anyone willing to teach? I've waited for around 5 or 6 hours now (i think) to give noobscraft time and see if it will reconnect, but nothing. All it says when I attempt to log in is 'Connection lost: end of stream'. I can get on other servers, and this is the only one that doesn't even show a connection bar, it shows an X instead and says communication error. I've attemped to redownload minecraft by removing it completely, and going on the minecraft.net to redownload it. still nothing. I also reconnected the server, and checked multiple times if it was the right IP address. (which it had to be right, because i was playing and suddenly got cut off while on the server, saying connection lost)
I've never seen this before, and am thinking it is something on the servers' side. Although, it's weird because other people are on at the moment, so it is just me. Help as soon as possible would be much appreciated.

This idea has been in my head for quite sometime, and finally has come together where I feel I will do a good job leading this Organization. Now I have heard a LOT of people who want to help the server, so they apply as mods but sometimes get it, although they still want to help the server out. Well, here is a GREAT opportunity to show you really want to help the server out.
- What name we live under
At the moment, it is Called NURT: (Noobs United to Restore and Thrive) if you have a better name, pitch the idea here on the comments!
- The Issue
If you have looked around the server, there are places in the main building world that are destroyed; places where a new town could thrive, and it has saddened me. Examples are whole deserts dug out for miles to stone, whole forests deforests and all that is left are HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of floating trees; also Mine shafts that are dug to the bottom of the Minecraft world.
- What we are here for
We are here to Restore and Thrive, meaning that we will go around in either groups or alone, fixing the main world.
1. Replanting Forests/ taking down floating trees
2. Fixing a desert so it is at least viewable
3. Replacing dirt from griefing holes
4. Covering up giant Mine Shafts in the middle of the Main World
5. Spreading smart ideas, like going to the Mining World to mine and not leave floating trees around.
6. Take donations so that we can pay people to repair more of Noobstown/ buy more supplies to fix Noobstown.
I will be needing a few leaders along me who deal with the money and organizing the workers and projects. I am putting all of my money in this if I get enough support, and will be gathering all the supplies I CAN to get this thing started. If we get a big enough group, I would love to do group projects to have fun while fixing things.
For extra fun, if we do a big project, I want to post a before and after picture of each project we do, and it will be an awesome feeling. I hope you think this is a great idea, I would love some support and feel this is a very needed thing to do on the server.

This is a post to try to share your in game story and adventure with the rest of the people.
For example, start out with saying something like what your first town was, or if you went out and built in the wild, if you had trouble building then met someone to help you, joined a town and became assistant, then started your own town. Whatever it might be, I would love to hear it:)
BE CREATIVE AND MAKE IT INTERESTING (I would like to get to know some of what everybody has been through on the server).
The ONLY thing I ask besides that is to try to respect other players, or I will lock this topic (we do not want sensitive subjects coming up).

I just want to say to all of the Admins of the server, thank you for your hard work and trying to get 1.3.1 running as soon as possible.
I've been to servers (before) and they just don't show the same kind of interest as you guys, and I really appreciate it. It is one of the main reasons I stick around, and still enjoy this awesome and STILL improving server.

There was indeed, a minecraft wedding. Two Oakvale resident's got married in the local church in town, Leafstorm732 and Destinygirl. As the priest and the photographer of the wedding, I was obliged to make a forum post about the event. Instead of going on about it, I will just post a couple of pictures, and let you folks go on about your day. Congrats guys!

OVERVIEW: I am planning a very large project and need workers and builders to help me get things going. I am willing to pay good prices for your labor, time, and skills, as many of you might already know for working for me previously. PAY: I try to be as fair as possible, but your pay is relied on certain things like how much you are actually working rather than typing, your design/skill quality of your work, and how fast you are able to finish tasks, learn and follow instructions. BENEFITS: All jobs will come with benefits of what is being built as well, like the four spawner's I will eventually find a home for. I would like to bring attention to anyone low on money, just starting up, wanting to level farming, or are just trying to make nbz quick and easy (It's my nbz and i want it NOW!) Mininum wage - 550 Maximum wage - 1250 + Rules are simple. 1. Ask me if you can work for me. 2. Check out a hoe from me. 3. Harvest the wheat/replant seeds. 4. No Griefing my house (I wield my wooden pix 99.9% of the time during office hours (:< ) 5. RETURN MY HOE OR BRING YOUR OWN! I pay fairly and am on the game a lot of the time.
