As we have done for some of the previous Minecraft updates: You can now connect to the Noobstown using any version of the Minecraft client between 1.12.2 and 1.17.1. Noobstown is still a 1.12.2 server for now so only features from 1.12.2 will work at this time, but you can now at least connect using clients which are using a newer version. Using the newer clients you may see or expect newer features to work, but unfortunately until we update please be aware that not all of those newer features will work as intended; the server is still 1.12.2. We still recommend you continue to use the 1.12.2 client to connect to Noobstown.com to avoid any confusion and to ensure you client matches up with what we are offering, but newer versions should at least be able to connect now. At the moment Noobstown is 1.12.2, I am working on progressing things to update in the future to the latest version at the time (currently 1.17.1). At the moment there is no estimate of when that update to include those newer features will be coming, but I am working towards it. If you notice any issues please let me know!

Tomorrow (18th March) Noobstown turns 10 years old! It's a big milestone in the history of the server, it's crazy to think how much things have changed since it was formed all those years ago. We're going to celebrate this year in a few different ways; to accommodate as many of you as possible, rather than having a single big event, this time there will be rewards throughout the next 10 days, including free items, bonus mcMMO XP, and more! So here's what's happening for the next 10 days (starting today):- It'll be 2x mcMMO XP!
- There will be a 10% discount on all Wilderness land purchased! (The first time we've ever discounted Wilderness land!)
- A bonus 10% will be given to all standard items sold to /shop!
- /kit theme will give you a unique 10th Birthday Celebration collectable reward. (This can only be claimed once during the 10 days.)
- Automatically every day at both 10:10am (UK time - what's that in my timezone?) and 10:10pm (UK time - what's that in my timezone?) for 10 minutes:
- Instead of 2x mcMMO XP it'll be a massive 10x mcMMO XP!
- Instead of a 10% discount on Wilderness land, it'll be 20%!
- Instead of a bonus 10% on all standard items sold to /shop, it'll be 20%!
- Random free items will drop around everyone online for the whole of the 10 minutes! The random items could be anything; including ores, gems, enchanted items, tools, and all other common items! You don't need to go anywhere to receive the items; it's your own personal drop party!
That totals multiple hours of extra rewards on top of the rewards running for the full 10 days! You can always find out when the next bonus rewards event is by looking at the player list (Usually the tab key in-game).
Plus to celebrate the milestone, for a limited time any player who has been a registered member for more than three years (before March 2018), and has been consistently active since can PM me here on the site for a chance to be upgraded to the Veteran rank (if you don't already have it or VIP)! This is the first time we've actively given out the title for years! From all of the team at Noobscraft and the Noobstown server I want to thank you all for playing and for the great experiences that have been shared over the last 10 years! Happy Birthday Noobstown!

As is tradition every year on Noobstown; starting from the 1st of December we'll be offering rewards each day for the Advent count-up to Christmas (25th). This year the gifts are spread around a small snowy landscape for you to explore, with them being inside the big presents around the snowy area! Follow the gravel paths to easily find all of the gifts! Every day (until the 25th) at /warp gift quickly look around the area to find the free different gift for that day (it'll be clearly labelled, with all the numbered gifts in the big presents around the area)! Just open the gift chest inside to claim the daily reward. Each day the new gift will open at midnight GMT (UK time) with different rewards! You need to make sure you open each box on the day it's related to (GMT) otherwise you'll miss out though! There's a countdown timer near each box and at spawn so you know how long until the next one will open!

As part of Noobween 2020 the Noobween Candy trades are now open at /warp noobween. You can trade them in for a variety of different things including: rare heads, Noobstown Gems (Nbz), Weapons, Tools, Armour, Ores, and more! Be sure to explore around the area and look at the different things you can get before making your choices! To get the Candy for the trades simply play as you normally would and keep an eye out for the random candy drops! Plus a reminder that it's also 2x mcMMO XP all the way until Halloween itself!

As is normal around this time of year on Noobstown we've got candy dropping as you do things around the server! This year there are 17 flavours to collect, each with a unique design! Simply play as you normally would and keep an eye out for the random candy drops! This year there are also even more ways to get the different flavours, so be sure to try different things if you want to go hunting! The 2020 candy can then collected and traded in for rewards (including rare heads and money) at /warp noobween (Trades will open next weekend; 18th Oct) Be sure to try a number of different mcMMO skills and in different worlds to see what you can get  ; there are different candies for doing different things. The candy drops will continue on past Halloween too; into November! Plus it's also 2x mcMMO XP all the way until Halloween itself! Happy Halloween!

We're introducing a new way to talk to other Noobstown players from today; we've created a Discord server! This is replacing the former TeamSpeak server that has now been removed. To connect to the Noobstown.com Discord server just visit Noobs.town/discord/ in your browser; you'll be directed through the process of connecting your Noobscraft.com account with your Discord account and then you'll be automatically invited to the server with all of your ranks and name set up correctly! This server is available for both text and voice chat, and will follow the same rules as the site and server. In the future there will likely be more options to talk with the Minecraft game server from Discord too; plus other useful functionality. We're open to feedback on this change, and would love to hear any comments you've got. I look forward to talking to some of you on there! Any issues noticed please let me know.

UPDATE: The temporary worlds have now all been reset! The temporary worlds (Mining World, Nether and End) will be reset at some point next weekend (27th-28th June); this likely to result in a very short period of server downtime next weekend while the reset occurs. As is currently the case; the spawns will continue to change constantly in those worlds, but the reset means further fresh areas to explore. Please ensure that anything you wish to keep from those worlds is removed before next weekend. A further reply will be made once the reset is complete.
