I would also like to point out that any blocks used from 1.8 will not work currently so please do avoid those.
Any particular type of theme preferred?

I meant to say "if it's on" fat fingers. No, it's not on, and yes, I don't trust random noobs enough to keep them from stripping the chunk clean...
FEel free to ask me to tp to you to test placing/breaking.

Guides / Re: Mob Spawn Limits
« on: 7 Apr 2015, 11:51:21 »
Is there a definitive guide on mob spawn limits? I.E. per-player passive, per chunk passive. Do different worlds have different limits? How is a passive mob associated with a player, if per-player limits exist?

I'd like to know what limits are in place before building and investing time in sheep farms.

Thanks,

..Nec

not really.

it seems that in a chunk in the wilderness if you don't use any tricks, that you get by default up to 6 skellies from a natural skelly spawner. In town you could move them around to keep the alive, and drop them on a slap and they can spawn up to about 50 before they start despawning. I went around many towns and found they all use this method. Some for sheep and zombies as well. So design the spawner smartly.

When I place a purchased spawner like cow in the town world, I get about 6 to 8 cows, depending on the angry and friendly mobs around the area, however, the less people online, the less they seem to spawn.

natural spawning also seems to be way way more active when the chunk has been 'tweaked' to  a type (and the surrounding area around it), and when there are more people online. Again the number for natural spawning angry mobs without friendly mobs at all in the same chunk, everything mined and lit up, seems to be around 25 average from a few chunks together, to about 50 at best.

The ratio is low, so the trick is multiple spawners, smart design, and a darkroom, all within the same area. properly lit area and space for friendly mobs in the neighbour hood to spawn.

Ah, that's what I originally thought. I know the chunk it's on public, but I don't want to do that. Shoot.
Oh the chunk is set to public? Then perhaps check first.. I never set any chunk to public, i dont trust ppl.

632
Crafting table is automatically public just as a heads up :)
Wild chunks are protected. Only those who you add can do stuff, plus, there's no damage to someone using a crafting table.

Yes, I'm a Sphax fan. I'm sort of used to it, though I do have other textures that I like to use on occasion.

NoobsCraft Chat Tutorial

MineCraft has multiplayer, and it allows us to connect together to a server like noobstown, and if you speak via the chat, others can read it. But NoobsCraft is a little bit different as it has multiple worlds; it’s included a plugin to control chat.

First things first, to chat in-game you press the “T” button on the keyboard, a line in the bottom appears. You can type anything in English in there (with in the /rules of the server). This is also the place where you type in commands.

Example: “t” hello everybody!
(the “t” opens the chat input, and the hello everybody! appears in-game)

Example: “t” /spawn
(the “t” opens up the chat input again, and since every command starts with a forward slash, you don’t talk in-game but instead you submit the /spawn command - teleporting you to spawn)

Ok, secondly it’s important to understand that you can chat in a few different ways. You can chat globally, locally, and per world. Each chat channel has a prefix and a unique color, so you can tell which one you’re in. You can switch between these channels (usually) at any time.

If you press “t” and type the command: /ch list
you will get a list of these chat channels.

[N] Nether in red.. if you are in the world “the nether” and type there, then it will have this prefix and color. Meaning that only those in that world can read what you say.

[M] Mine in blue.. if you are in the “mining” world, and type there, then only others in the mining world can see you.

etc.

Okay, that’s per world. But there is a global chat, it’s prefixed with [G] and it’s in green. If you type in global chat, everybody in any world can see what you say. This is basically the default chat.

And, there’s local chat. It shows in [L] yellow. When you’re in local chat in any world, then only those nearby you can read what you say. Great for parties and town chats.

Let me explain how to change between chat channels.
(I will assume you now understand you have to press “t”, etc)

To switch to the global chat: /ch g
To switch to the local chat: /ch l
To switch back to the world you’re in: /ch En (or M or N)

Bonus!

If you’re part of a /party, you type: “/p” to turn on and off the party chat. Only those who are a member in the party will be able to see what you type (whatever world you’re in).

Inside info!

There’s actually a few more channels, but we can’t see them. If you /warp to certain places or are a staff member, .. but this basically doesn’t apply to members.

« on: 3 Apr 2015, 14:51:44 »
So right now I think many people are using /plot rename (name) so make their plot(s) fancier or for promotion purposes.
But when one unclaims a plot with a name, I'm wondering how to reset the name. I don't know yet since I've never have to deal with that before, so I'm wondering how?
All help is much appreciated. :)

/adam5979, Mayor of Futuria

Just type:  /plot set name
and it will reset to [] (empty)

/plot set name something
and it will set it to 'something'

Market Place / [town x] Diamond Repair Service
« on: 1 Apr 2015, 04:45:00 »
[ APRIL 2015 ]

If you want me to repair your item, I can repair diamond:
- tools for a single diamond,
- weapons for a single diamond,
- armour for two diamonds,

and it will cost you:
- 1250 noobs, or
- one single diamond

How does this work?
You kindly ask me in a message if I have time to repair for you,
and after paying you give me the diamonds required to repair your item,
and the item(s) to repair. Then I repair them by single-hitting an iron block.

Can you repair just one or a whole inventory?
I don't mind if it is just one diamond item, or a couple of double chests.

What if you don't keep the enchants?
See the screenshot, it's a chance, there's a risk that I don't keep enchants on every repair.
But i think with me it's the best chance you have (compare your /repair with below screenshot)

Maybe a stupid question, but, do I get my items and diamonds back?
Yes, you get your items back when I am done repairing them.
No, you don't get your diamonds back, they've been used to repair the items.
(If any happen to be left over, I'll probably drop them back to you anyway).

Do I get mcMMO repair experience if you repair for me?
You could, if you're part of the town x /party, mind you, it's usually a locked party.

First things first, go to Mojang and secure your account. So you know you're in good standing and that you know with a fact what your login details are. Login then with your email and the set pass. If it fails then, it could be a couple of things, server side and client side.

Server side, auth servers could be temporary down. Check the mojang status page.

Client side, you're using some security or anti virus software that blocks internet connections and you need to whitelist the app. You mention you're not, so perhaps in your router the outgoing traffic is blocked somehow? Are you on a proxy, tunneling ipv6 traffic, or a vpn, or anything like that perhaps?

Is it just Mc's launcher, or also steam, and other platforms?

What if you temporary connect to some neighbour's open wifi?

What if you use another system on the same or another network?

Noobstown General / Re: HAve I done something...
« on: 26 Mar 2015, 20:28:30 »
Since the 4th year party, I feel like I have been ignored more and more, When I talk in general chat, I just get completely ignore, for instance, today I got on, I went to ask in General chat if anyone could repair my pickaxe, waited a few minutes...nothing... asked again... nothing, I even said hi to a few people... totally ignored... Now I have not done anything to anyone that I know of. Is it my age? I didn't think age made a difference, I'm not some old geezer lol I haven't made any "old guy" advances on anyone on this server. Just wondering what the deal is?
Each time I am on and you msg or poke and I notice, I repair your pick, at no cost, for just a diamond with each tool. I have no reason to ignore you. I also don't care about your race, gender or age. The chat simply is quiet a lot of times, people talk in private or in local. Trust me, I get a hello, but beyond that nobody asks me how my day is, they just want something from me.  :) It's how things are online usually.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Please let the animals breed
« on: 23 Mar 2015, 19:01:41 »
Do what *everybody* (including staff) does, drop them on slaps and let water move them around in a circle out of your chunk to keep them alive, feed them, breed them, and use their resources. You can get up to 25 a chunk easily that way, which I am sure is enough for some wool or food.

Market Place / Re: Paper on auction listed by me
« on: 23 Mar 2015, 03:29:48 »
I have a clarifying questions:

- was it just a piece of paper?  or was the item name altered to be called a pet?

If that is the case then definitely return the noobs, basically fraud in my mind.

If Not, the I don't understand why Vanillablock should return the noobs.  The item description clearly shows that its only a piece of paper, nothing more nothing less....Buyer beware.  I can't see how this is different then someone posting, for example, a wooden door for 1 million noobs, or over pricing items in the AH and people still buy them.

maybe the noobs should be returned, as a show of good faith, but then again maybe not. (just my opinion)
I hate to say, but I agree with you. I understand the confusion - people see all sorts of paper, and one is cheaper. They think they got a deal.. Without checking twice (and that's where it is easy to scam, while it's also stupid of that person to place a bid without checking what they're buying).

In vanilla's def. Foob's papers are showing in "gold" as official auction ones - they stand out.

That said, it's a bit "sketchy" to put paper up for that much, hoping people fall for it. Which is why I think it's not against the rules, to be honest, but it's very much so frowned upon. Morally correct to just return the money.
