This is an important announcement regarding Chestshops, if you are allowing people to sell to you this is potentially dangerous and can lead to you becoming bankrupt. For example: If you have 2000 Noobz in your iConomy bank and are allowing Diamonds to be sold to you at 200 each this means someone only has to sell 10 to your shop to completely bankrupt you. This is due to the lack of restrictions in the chest shop plugin we cannot stop people from taking all your money, your best bet is to only allow people to buy from you for the time being.


I have contacted the developer of Chestshop and he will be adding a feature that is a selling limit, this feature will stop selling past a certain point (purposely bankrupting you). I hope this helps you, please change your shop as soon as possible.

Yerp! Cause it happened to me today and as soon as i got my plot back i changed shops!!

And that is why you ask your town mayor to be able to deposit some of the money into the town bank, and then when you need some of the money out of the town bank you can then ask a town assistant to withdraw the money and pay you. Of course, it depends on the generosity of your mayor.

Never really had a problem with this cause everything I allow people to sell to my chests are things I know I can earn profit back on but thanks for telling the creater of chestshops about it tho :)

Even still, if enough people work together and sell everything to you they can bankrupt the richest person on the game.

True but it is a small chance that a chest get filled with diamonds which is the only item I pay "A lot" for, if it is x-ray is most likely why.

And even if the chests in my shop will be full I still got around 150k left :p Being rich is sometimes good :)

Some people have been trying to bankrupt people on purpose, going on the space you have left in your diamond shop people can bankrupt you by 230k from that shop alone. Even if an x-rayer does mine all those diamonds, we may not catch him before he catches you.

I am thinking of removing some shops that I cant sell the item back to VIP shop for profit, so thanks for the warning :)

As a temporary fix until the dev adds this feature, you can fill up most of your shops with something that the shop doesn't buy/sell. For instance, I always stick dirt in my diamond shop chests so that I can only have a maximum of maybe 3 stacks of diamonds. For things as expensive as diamond blocks though, this won't work as well, since a stack of diamond blocks can equate to around 130k.

Did the same with iron bars around instead of dirt cause I got insane amounts of iron (Double chest ++)

I remember a funny yet useful tip I used to have when I played on my old server. When I would fill in the sell part, I would put in a negative number in. It's cruel, but it certainly repels money thieves.

Was going to say what Myrf said hours ago, but my ipod refreshed on the page and I rage-quit from retyping out the entire thing. Stupid thing's pretty slow.

That's the method I use, and if you're smart enough and you calculate the most someone could "bankrupt" you for with all your chests combined you'll keep yourself out of trouble. At least that's how I work.

That doesn't work. It says invalid amount. I have tried that before :D

Happened to me XP Although it wasn't with anything fancy like diamonds.. Just lots and lots of bowls and bottles because someone abused the system of payment and return in a restaurant thing XP Glad to hear there might be a sell limit some day :D
