UPDATE: We have now updated the server to 1.3.

As most of you will be aware the 1.3 version of Minecraft is supposed to be publicly released tomorrow.

As a server we will take time to update to this version of Minecraft. This is because we have to wait for our server software and plugins to be updated, before we can go live using 1.3. As a result of this delay in converting to 1.3 we recommend that ANY player wanting to continue playing our server after the update has been made live, declines any update requests by clicking "Not yet!" until we have announced our server has also been updated.

If you want to play the server you will need to continue using 1.2.5. (Until we announce that we have also updated.)

We will try to keep downtime during the changeover period to a minimum however it is likely that some will occur.

Same as my server also to add on If anything does not work like a certain plugin (chat channels not working or something like that) that means the servers plugin that manages that hasnt been updated so it will not support the 1.3 version of the bukkit plugin program , this may happen if this server opens too early , there will be a few problems and a few improvements because the plugin authors sometimes program fixes and new and improved content to them when they update so they support the right version of bukkit

bukkit V1.2.5 R5.0 has only just come out so we may not see the 1.3 R1 version for a bit of a while due to huge changes in everything

I dont know why but i keep somehow guessing right of what plugins this server has its strange i must be sidekick but ill not announce any of them to anyone ever and my server

Is it possible to start up the extra server that you guys used when 1.1, 1.2 etc came out? I want to update right away to check all the new stuff out but if I cant play on a multiplayer server it is no fun :/

I probably am going to update to get away for a few days, get a feel of 1.3, and then come back, ready, with some big plans in mind with the new update.

I dont think there was a important update in bukkit API's, so if I were you, I'd play on 1.3 for a few hours.. downgrade to 1.2.5 (google it) and play on Noobstown, so you can get a head start to 1.3 then others like fish_james said. Also, I will be away for a few days aswell configuring a plugin I made that makes me laugh.. diamond mining sets you on fire, also.. Im now playing Star Trek - Online

There probably isn't a "set" date for them to update. They'll update when they can. Meaning when all the plugins and such are up to date, which could be a couple of days.

The date I've heard batted around is the 5th, but NOT from any admins or mods. So I have no clue how accurate that is.

We plan to update much quicker than the estimations above, all depends on Bukkit and how are plugins work along side the new release. My estimation is within 2-5 hours.

Ya I think it should be quicker for Bukkit to update this time around because they have been working with Mojang for a while not to mention the prerelease gave them a head start.

We aren't updated yet. That's why you're told to NOT update if you want to continue playing until we get updated.
