i know that foob has a lot to do, but the date for release has been postponed by like 3 weeks now......

Well they said a week or so.

They went with "or so".

Honestly, as much as I'd love to get V6 here ASAP, don't you think it'd be better to have a really long release duration, and have ALL of the bugs worked out properly, instead of a speedy, rushed release with TONS of in-game bugs?

I stand by my viewpoint that in any video game, the more time spent developing, the better the game will be in the eventual final release. Give it time, guys. Heck, if it means no Noobween celebration, I would prefer that more than having problems in the middle of it.

I can see where both sides are going but I'd rather it be here ASAP.
I say this because its been already a month since Foob promised it would come out, and more people= more bugs found

People are so impatient some time, it makes me crazy. Great things are not made instantly, every great thing takes time and Patience.

I'm getting anxious and miss playing minecraft but I'm not impatient like some people I've seen recently. I've said this all along and I continue to stand by it. The staff are working as hard as they possibly can and as fast as they can. Good things come to those who wait and when it finally is realized it will be better than ever. :)

You know it's been 7 months basically, right? I think it's fair to say patience is running out.
And its also done by a small team of people, so might wanna keep that in mind as well, building the v6 with 2 people took long, even with world edit.
I know people are running out of patience, but nothing is gonna help they will just have to wait, the longer the wait the more rewarding something can become.

I can understand why people are getting impatient, I am myself in a way but I also have to think about and wish others would as well...that it's a small group of guys trying to get done a lot more than we probably realize. As I saw in the previous comments I would much rather them get everything situated to begin with then open the server and realize there are all these bugs...perfection and good quality products take time. When they're ready, satisfied and happy with their product they will give it to us and it will be better than ever. Is it a reason to give up on the server or try and find something else? Not at all. This server is the best server I've come across and I hope people don't give up on the server over something like this.

from my experience, you cant really fully test anything without public access. Hence why betas exist and even so, games are still buggy.

Even Minecraft is still working on and removing bugs and glitches, nothing will ever be perfect. The lack of communication though is what gets me upset, its been over a week since the plugins were announced being tested.

As far as the saying "good things come to those who wait" I point you to Duke Nukem Forever.

They also have a twitter page that they update a little more than the site, I'd say give that a try or following them personally on twitter.

It's not a case of irradiating all bugs before we release because like you say, it is impossible to test things without public access and we totally agree. We expect there to be bugs on the release, we expect to be fixing them all night long during the first night, which we are totally preparing for. However, what you might fail to understand is that we do this as a hobby, as much free time as I can possible dedicate goes to running the servers and that goes for Lawrence and Waterworth too.

'Plugin testing' meaning the first time we've officially tested the plugin since its development over the entire summer. We aren't simply looking for bugs, we are asking questions like 1. Does it function correctly? 2. Does it cause any severe issues to the server in terms of lag 3. Is it safe to use on release for public testing?

As you can see it is not simply just looking for small things, we do expect players to do that on the release.

The aim is to release the server when we are happy to, when we feel that what we have in place will work and be a fun experience for the new era of Noobstown. Ruining the release by rushing into things, will make the version forever bad.

We understand the frustration of waiting and we ourselves want to release the version as soon as humanly possible. We also appreciate everyone for being so supportive and sticking with Noobstown for this entire change-over process.

I hope you kinda understand our situation and know that it is being worked on and there isn't too much left in terms of core development testing. Thank you  <3

Yeah, I would like to see more updates on what will be in the token shop too, and more stuff about v6, so we will know what to buy and take a long deep think about what we will buy so that we don't waste them in in one shot:P

I don't see an estimated date happening. Say foob gives an estimated date and between that time that was given to the actual day, things could go wrong, people could have gotten their hopes up, the day comes and still no v6....I think it's best to wait for an official date instead of getting our hopes up on a day that MAY be when the server restarts.
