Definitly looks quality and some nice work went into creating it.  Well done.

Other than very specialized and hard to get items and under certain rare circumstances would I expect to bid on an auction that I have to wait hours or days to go final.  When I need a supply I generally need it right at that moment.  I'd rather go get it myself or just get it from another player in game (or trade) rather than having to wait.  If I have to go back and forth between playing in game and looking at auctions on the server, forget it, too much hassle.  In V5, if anyone in chat asked for a supply and I had extra, I usually just gave it to them (no charge).  I plan on doing the same.  I could see myself using this system, but really only for BIN items and in limited circumstances.

It's useful to put stacks on sale when you are going offline for a few hours and still gain something out of it (instead of losing time spamming the global chat for example).

Some questions not answered by the tiny video:
-What is the limit of stacks that can be stored into the "collection" inventory?
-Do unsold items go into the same "collection" inventory as bought items?
-Is there a time limit of any sort to retrieve such item?
-Do we get the fee back if the auction expires?

Both the deposit and collection inventories have no limit to the number of items you can store in them. Items awaiting collection will simply queue up until you give more space in the in-game collection chest. There is also no given time limit for collecting these items, they will simply be sat there waiting for you the next time you come online. If there is no winner of an auction the item will be sent back to you awaiting collection. Also if you put an item into the web inventory and later decide you don't want to auction it you can simply drag it over into the collection inventory and it will then be sat waiting for you in-game.

As for the fees; the fixed 25-100Nbz fee is charged as you put the item up for auction and is a cost for listing the item in the Auction House, this will not be refunded, the 5% fee however will not be charged as 5% of nothing is still nothing.

Hopefully that answers your questions.

wouldnt this allow people to use it as a big chest that never gets full?

or is that the point of the paying money?

The items can only be deposited/collected at the Auction Houses in spawn and selected areas around the world, so while they could do this it wouldn't be very useful.

Is there any intention of eventually adding a chat command of sorts for it?

I really liked being able to /sell all as I mined to extend the length of my mining trips.

Also in regards to these "selected areas", would towns be able to acquire an auction house for their townspeople?

The previous explanation was perfectly clear, thanks.

About that last part, I think it could be very useful as a town's storage.

If any town needs to buy great amounts of building materials, being able to store them there as they're gathered and later retrieve small quantities as needed (and distribute them among builders) does really solve a lot of problems.
