Hey all, earlier today 1.6 was released. Bukkit  have already released a 1.6 build, although... Lots of peoples tweets about bukkit 1.6 say its terrible. Bukkit has replied that they will get a fix on the lag issue asap. Once bukkit has a stable build I will move in, Plugin's are also updating pretty quick (which is a good thing).


For all those who wish to downgrade to 1.5 again to play.

Follow this guide.



Install the 1.5 jar file


Windows:

Go to run

Copy this %appdata%
Open the .minecraft folder

Go into the bin folder

delete the minecraft.jar

go to downloads find minecraft.jar

replace the 1.5 minecraft.jar in the bin folder

run minecraft

Connect to Noobstown IP: Noobstown.com



Mac

once you have the download of minecraft 1.5 (download link above)

go to finder

go into library

application support

then go into minecraft.

go inside the bin folder

delete minecraft.jar

replace the download 1.5 version of minecraft into the bin folder

run minecraft

play Noobstown

When I used that link to download the .jar file, it ended up being a .zip folder. Is there another link or can I just not find the .jar file in that folder?

What mods were in that?

name the current .minecraft folder something like old.minecraft then go into the game and it will make a new .minecraft on the current update. Then move your save files from old.minecraft into the new .minecraft

Mine said outdated client too. Not sure whats going on

Dammit, I followed the guide above but I can't seem to find the minecraft folder in application support So now I can't downgrade!!!!

guys there is a problem though with the downgrade. if u use the minecraft.jar file from noobscraft.com u get a folder created called "zombe" in Log: C:\Users\[Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods\. if u delete it, it will be recreated when u start minecraft. ingame, when you login it says

"ZMod: errors detected - one or more mods affected
First error: failed to load configuration from config.txt
Log: C:\Users\[Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods\zombe\log.txt"

now the strange thing is ive never had this message before and ive also never heard of "zombe" before neither am i using any mods. the message isnt in the chatlog, its above it and stays there and is very annoying as you cant see anything really.. a staff member told me to download the "zombe modpack" and put configuration into that folder (he told me dont worry cuz i cant use it anyways). i tried it but as there is only a 1.6.5 version of it in the internet it doesent remove the text ingame. could someone please help here?
