So everyone stops asking:
You find the eggs by walking in the wild. Just keep walking, you'll find them eventually. Try not to walk in highly populated areas. Just. Keep. Walking. Even if you're not finding them, you'll find them eventually, you just have to go out far enough.

They are found on any surface out in the open, you don't have to go digging for them. They are dragon eggs.

Make sure to left-click on them, or else you won't get anything.

Anyway, happy hunting!

Is it possible to make Dragon eggs drop spawn eggs as a price cause come on spawn eggs are the closest to smaller eggs :p

I had a question for the mods.

Was the hostile spawn rate reduced for this week? Myrf explained that it was because we were running around hunting that hardly any mobs spawned, but that's not right either. Even when you're running around mobs would spawn left and right before this week, so something had to have been done.

And if something was done to the hostile mob spawn rate, will it be changed back to normal once the week is over?

I don't know if this is true but I think mobs spawn near you know to reduce lag? Something like that.

I believe mobs are back. By the way, I do think they were disabled because of the easter hunt. Enjoy. :)

Oh good, because I'd only found like threeish in the regular world (They were still somewhat in the mining world it seemed like) during the whole time. I was starting to worry that it was just where I was and that the mob trap I made for my town would be completely useless. xD

Hopefully it works now that the mobs are back. :3 Thanks a ton.

We have altered the way mobs spawn in the world, in most servers you will see very little amounts of mobs around the world. These mobs are usually away from all the players or just loaded in old chunks and not being used. We have adapted a system where mobs only spawn near players so that its much easier to find mobs. Mobs will regularly de-spawn and move to a different locations to spread mobs out in the world.

Does this new spawn behavior include wild animals (especially sheeps)?
The server restart seemed to have despawned the flock on your towns sheepfarm and the area we actually caught them in the first place doesn`t seem to spawn sheep anymore (the wild sheep we left behind are gone as well). We spread out but no one could find any wild animals around the town anymore, so your main source for wool is pretty much gone.

I do not believe that includes friendly mobs, I happen to have a testificate locked up in a jail cell and has been there for several weeks. Then again, there have been many reports about player's animals disappearing, so I am not 100% sure.

Oh it definitely affects passive mobs, which renders animal breeding absolutely useless.  Its sad. I figured my mooshrooms wouldn't despawn but they did. Now i am very sad.

Nooo, not the mooshrooms, I even jumped off the leafs during the spleef so Neonnick(?) could get his first egg (got him the round after that though ;) ).

I`m afraid Tyja is right - every chicken we replaced disappeard again over night and it seems that at least the townfarms of DragonFire, Flintwood and Yama are empty (except from the spawner-pigs).
Guess the prices on wool are going to explode soon.
Is there any way to make sheepspawners available in the donationshop as a temporary solution?

Well, pray Linda (that the mass is over fast so you can join the party).

Ya i wish that it just acted as normal spawning. I like breeding better than natural spawns.  More realistic and can get more animals.  I know Admins posses the ability to change the mob of a spawner so maybe from the shop they can just change the spawner animal once u place it?

Linda, look on the bright side, you got to party away for the last two hours or so. By the way, awesome party, thanks to all the admins who made it possible! These parties seem to get better and better.

One of the mods said ingame it`s not possible to change them. A pity though, we would have had all the pigspawners already (guess we can dig them out now and destroy them).

Now don't get to hasty, a little birddy told me that there might be possible future permission for mods to change spawners, but you didn't here that from me. (I am also not sure if this change is still valid.)
