Maintenance 17/1/2015
« on: 17 Jan 2015, 17:59:39 »
Hey all,

Today we performed an unscheduled maintenance to address some issues with plugins causing lag to the server, we've also made a number of changes:
  • Removed /kit food
  • Changed the rate of which the food bar drops to combat the removal of /kit food
  • We have updated our Anti cheat system, you should see improvements on the sensitivity of checks.
  • Player counter added to floating MOTD at /spawn
  • Range of plugins updated to latest version including Towny. Please let us know if you experience any unusual issues with this version.

They FINALLY removed /kit food o.o
Thanks for this maintenance, although I'm not too happy because MA wasn't added back. :P

Why was /kit food removed I am not into it (even though I used it a lot when I have stacks of food) or arguing that it should be put back but why? P.S I would appreciate if you personal message me why, thanks

The /kit food was only ever introduced due to a bug in Minecraft which has since been fixed. We have also adjusted the hunger bar reduction rate, so it should reduce a less than before. The removal of /kit food is something many players had requested as it allows for a food market in-game; and as the bug is no longer an issue we agreed. It was always going to be a temporary thing and now is the right time to remove it.

It appears that the server crashed, is there any knowledge of what causing it?

Do town and nation chats work in the new version of towny?  Those would be great to have again.

No, it doesn't work. I don't think it will work at all ever, if I recall it never 'played nice' with whatever chat plugin that we're currently using and caused issues. :/

Hey fatnoob,

I'm having an issue with this update- I can no longer use the /horses summon command. No one else can get it to work. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm not Fatnoob, but I'll answer you anyways ;)

Horses are currently disabled due to a bug. When the issue gets patched, horses will be re-enabled. There will most likely be an announcement when the get re-enabled. :)
