Hi guys,

Noobstown is going into maintenance as of 2pm BST and is expected to be down for the majority of the day/evening as we upgrade to 1.8. Please note, this is a large update and things may go wrong, in the case of this we may well fall back to 1.7.10 to avoid long delays to your playtime. If all goes well, Noobstown will be 1.8 including as many of the features that came with the update as possible.


WARNING:

Name changing will still be blocked after we go into 1.8, we still have a couple of tweaks here and there with our plugins to make the magic happen for name changing, so please continue to be patient regarding this and we will continue to work towards supporting this.


Changes:

If the update is successful there will be a number of changes and new additions to the server, as pre-planned for 1.8. Further information on these changes will be released with the 1.8 update post.

My experience has been a terrible one, the issues started surfacing a week or so after what appeared to be a successful upgrade. Mainly caused by the plugin (spigot running native hasn't been an issue).

You guys are braver than me! Best of luck. That said, when it runs smooth, it runs smooth enough.
