Noobmas is here!

The Holiday Event of Noobmas is back once again for the 4th year running! ~ As always the 'Advent' event will run throughout the month from the 1st to the 25th, we've changed the way it's working this year and the entire system will run completely in-game.

How to take part?

Each day at 00:00 GMT you will be able to unlock the days gift, each chest will be labeled with the respective day. You must log online and unlock the chest each day, you cannot open these gifts if you miss a day. The prizes inside the chests will gradually increase as we move further and further to the 25th.

Noobmas Visits

Noobmas will be stopping by at the 10 largest TOWNS in Noobstown this year, handing out gifts to the community, everyone is welcome. The schedule will be posted later this month, the following towns eligible for Noobmas visits are:

- Windermere
- Ethereal
- Shangri-la
- Gallifrey
- Tortuga
- Skyside
- Olympus
- Giza
- Gaia
- Gotham

Finally, Noobmas will finish his visit at the spawn town; Noobstown.

Please dress your town appropriately (Xmas Theme). If you are a mayor and wish to remove your town from this list you can do so via PM.

Crackers!

You can now get Christmas crackers from doing loads of different things in-game! Just play normally and you'll eventually get some! Once you get a cracker simply click on a person you want to pull it with and then if they accept you'll be able to pull the cracker together! The winner of the pull wins a random prize!

Network Update

There is still an ongoing investigation into the network/lag issues on Noobstown, however, i'm pleased to inform you that we are getting closer to permanently solving the problem. The issue is directly effected by our DDoS protection which when routing is causing certain players with higher PING to lag or D/C, in some extreme cases causing the entire server to D/C or timeout. We want to let you know that we haven't given up on this problem and have been working to resolve the issue since day 1, thank you again for your continued patience and understanding.

i forget. are the advent chests JUST on the server or are they on the website too? also NOOOOOBMAAAAS! YAY!

Last year the advent calendar was on the website. I assume there will be an advent calendar on the site, you click on the appropriate day but you need to be in-game to actually receive the item. Last year I think you didn't need to be on the server to get the item, you got it the next time you logged in.

ok so will the site advent be like the voting? you get the gift of the day you are on and they dont accumulate until the next time you can log in?

I was wrong. Everything will be in-game. No advent calendar on the website. There will be chests, all this according to Lawrence on TS, the chests will correspond with each day.

Wooo Hooo Noobmas. This will be my first year participating. I have seen craftymatt13 do it a couple of years ago since Noobstown was not up for last Noobmas last year. I am excited. And this is my first post on the website as a Prefect. Yeaaa me. lol
