One thing I wanted clarification on was the IP sending thing. The rule only says "in chat". Does this apply only to Global chat, or does it apply to local, party, PM, etc? I know this was a confusing thing in the last version to deal with so I just wanted further clarification in the rules itself so it's clear-cut whether it's not allowed period or just in certain things.

Also, what exactly counts as an exploit? I know one thing people were wanting to do was to summon a dog at one end of a place and have it sit, then go a certain distance of blocks away and summon another one. It's kind of going against the plugin only wanting you to have one dog at a time. Would that be considered exploiting or is it just smart use of the plugin to have more dogs at once instead of having to go tame tons of them from a farm or such?

For the advertising, what about if we are directing players to the website or to Mineapoc? Would we still be banned?

If I recall it never counted if you were sending to Apoc or to the forum here. It wasn't really against the rules since both servers are owned by the admin team.

But it was so long ago I don't know if that was ever changed or not.

Griefing & Stealing
You are not allowed to steal or break anyone else’s things unless you have specific permission from the owner of the items. We have tools to prevent any stealing and griefing however, you should not attempt to grief or steal because you can risk your account being banned.
You say that you can't remove anything with out the owners permission...I assume that includes the staff permission also?

You mean in towns when someone is being kicked out of the town or removed from the town for inactivity per town rules? For when you need to get rid of their items and such?

I'm pretty sure it's still the same as V5, but dunno. I mean it only makes sense that you have the right to tear down their plot if they consented to the town rules for it. As well as having their items destroyed from their chests by a mod.

I don't know if it's allowed for a mod to move the items to a chest somewhere in the town where people's items are stored for if they decide to come back though. It would make it fairer and wouldn't just be a complete destruction of a member's efforts, especially if they were having real life trouble which made them unable to access the internet, though.

Good rules.  I assume the rules apply equally not only to members and guests, but also to moderators and prefects.

If so, will there be a separate mechanism to report a moderator or prefect that abuses the rules, or will the same "report user" be used for them too?

Thanks.

There were a few times a mod was reported, although almost all of them were someone throwing a fit or getting angry about something that had happened and wasn't actually anything on the moderator's part where they did something wrong.

I'd assume moderators and prefects aren't above the rules just as they weren't in V5, though I don't know for sure what's the best route to report one. If someone is really going bad they could probably just erase threads reporting them if they saw them first, but I doubt anyone would do that.

Kind of, hehe. I understood the humor in your post but wasn't sure if you were joking because the word I was using wasn't the one that's used on this forum.

The questions were meant for one of the admin staff, sorry I failed to address my post properly.  Sometimes people can feel helpless when they are being bullied or harassed by a moderator, especially younger members and guests.  I would hope that there is a standard mechanism for reporting if, or when, things like that occur.  Hope it never happens in V6, but even a little bit of power can corrupt.

Eh, I know it was for the admin staff. I was just saying some things that I experienced back then. Doesn't mean I'm right and therefore I'm looking forward to hearing all the answers from the admins themselves since they're going to know a ton more than any of us ever will. Or, I hope they do since they're the owners. Hehe, I kid they most certainly do.

From what I remember if you didn't feel safe reporting a mod within the report user section you could always send a PM directly to the admins themselves so that you could keep the problem in private without having to be scared that someone was going to attack you because of your report. (Not saying that anyone did, but that can easily be a common fear. I know that even in real life I get nervous wanting to say something against my teachers/etc because they have power and I don't. Even when I'm in the right and they're not I get scared about speaking up.)

Anyway, probably going to be a while to get a response from anyone since unless they're staying up late they should probably be asleep by now if I recall correctly.

You could email Waterworth if you think a moderator is removing the reports when you report them. prefects cannot read the reports from what I've heard

You can use the report function or contact an Admin via PM.
