Ok, apologies for yet another question.
I spotted the sign saying 1st May is reset day. What exactly does this mean?

I think your referring to the mining world? Well that means that that world only will be reset to generate new land so the ore deposits are refilled so people can get items again because after a month it can get pretty dried out.  Thats why it says not to build there because it will reset. :)
