Updated Optifine for 1.6

Can someone please let me know when they've updated Optifine? I have the most horrible time playing on the server without Optifine so if you don't see a lot of me that's why. Thanks!

Same here!! Also does anyone know how to install mods in 1.6? Is it the same .jar in the bin folder? Or the 1.6.jar in the versions folder?

Ive just had a look and optifine is only at 70% complete and to install mods on 1.6.1 heres some instructions:

1. Go to C:\Users\[NAME]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions <--- %appdata% then versions folder (easy way)
2. Copy "1.6.1"-folder and rename that. Maybe to "1.6.1 with mods".
3. Copy the name of the new folder and open it.
4. Rename all files in it (examp.: 1.6.1 with mods.jar and 1.6.1 Mods.json).
5. Open the ".json" with editor or sth. else and rename: ["id": "1.6.1 Mods",] -> ["id": "1.6.1 with mods",] 
6. Open the 1.6.1 Mods.jar and copy all files from optifine (or other mods) into that, delete META-INF.
7. Start your launcher, create a new profile and chose as "Use version:" the new version.
8. Start minecraft.

This is how i did it to install reis minimap and it works perfectly

Really, I need my fineness to be optied again.  It is awful the market district gives me 5 FPS.

optifine is currently at 80%. But yeah seriously. I can't really do anything without being 3-5 FPS. Optifine really does help for me and I can't play on this server without it. haha my computer sucks.

The reason it is taking so long, is if you look in versions, and then bin, bin has a bunch of extra jars and stuff, where versions doesn't. Those jars helped with mods like optifine, so that is why it is taking so long.

use magic launcher it makes installing mod really easy and optifine is up for 1.6.2

OHHH YA THAT IS GREAT!!!! Thanks for the info and on a side note magic launcher is wonderful I use it no virus included in the download.
