Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Teleporters

Honestly, I don't like it.
It's like setting homes all over again, exceeding the max 5 or 8 homes you can set. 5 homes is enough for most players, 8 for us VIPs. There's really no need for it.

Indeed, I will disagree.
You and me already had a debate about this a few days ago, but I felt like I didn't get to say everything I wanted to back then.

About the first topic, there really is no issue about money not being in circulation. The server doesn't hold a limit to how much money the players can hold collectively, and money CAN be generated infinitely (players gain money without drawback from either killing hostile mobs and through selling to /shop). Besides, this issue would re-appear every few years, and we can't reset the server ENTIRELY simply because 10 people hold more than 50% of the server's collective economy, because switching versions would mean that all buildings, towns, and mcMMO levels would disappear. In the end, more people would be left unhappy than happy.

As a person who used to play on v5, it really wasn't better than what v6 is now, looking back at it. VIP was only held for a limited amount of time, and you'd have to renew it to keep the rank. At the same time, VIPs got x2 the mcMMO gain as regular members got, which wasn't very fair.
The economy spiraled out of control easily because of how much 100 Nbz could buy and could be obtained, with diamonds being around twice (200-ish Nbz), making this version's economy inflated enough to make diamonds worth something you wouldn't be able to get by simply selling 3 stacks of dirt.
Also, the wild world was (I think) one of the reasons why we switched over to v6, because of the uncontrolled building. Anyone could come and grief/ruin your buildings, which makes an anarchtic wild world highly un-ideal. Becuase of that, the Town world was far more popular to use, which made it oversaturated.
Sure, we'd have 45-60 users online at the same time, but that's because the staff held weekly events during the weekends, only then would we achieve such numbers. Now, the staff has "grown up". Foob and WW are no longer admins, which leaves only Larry, staff can't always come on for such events as they're busy with their real life.

Doing a v7 (v5 brought back) would be worse for the server. Most players left the server because of how long time it took to update the server from v5 to v6 (longer than what was planned, 6+ months), not because they didn't like the new system. Doing such an update, albeit probably shorter, could potentially kill the potential for new players, leaving only regulars and long-time players.

Isn't really the best thing for a server aimed for all ages, I'd say.

Time to hit Power Level 10,000.

Hello.
As the title reads, I would like to see glowstone dust and nether quartz added to /shop, under the Rares/Ores category.
Glowstone dust is frequently acquired by simply excavating sand; same goes for quartz (to a certain extent). Not everyone uses these materials, so they end up thrown out from their inventories and despawn, making no good or proper use of it. Therefore, since we already have other excavation drops in there, like flint, gunpowder, bones and diamonds (Excavation 850+), why not put those two drops in there as well?

Completely off-topic, what texture pack is that?

Larry closed the donation shop since he now can run the server from his own pocket. That means no more VIP -> VIP+ upgrades, or anyone becoming a VIP in the first place.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: /mail revamp
« on: 3 Jan 2017, 05:38:27 »
Couldnt you just send a book in /gift and it would do the same?

That would kinda defeat the purpose of /mail in general. Plus, collecting /gifts requires you to clear your inventory, which is a hassle for anyone who carries on a lot of stuff.

Suggestions & Ideas / /mail revamp
« on: 2 Jan 2017, 10:19:34 »
Hello.
/mail is a useful command if you want to message someone something when they're not online. But, you have to type the message in along with the command in the text box, and unfortunately, it has a character limit that restricts you from sending a long message, so if you want to send something that overrides the character limit, you have to spread it across multiple messages.
What I'd really like to see is a revamp of the /mail command. Rather than typing "/mail send [username] [message], why not have it function somewhat similar to /gift? Example would be where you do /mail [username], and a book appears. You write in that book, and as soon as you've signed the book, it'll automatically get sent to the receiver. The receiver would get a notification when the /mail has been sent (or when he/she logs in if the /mail was sent when he/she was offline), and does /mail read, where he/she'd get the book with the /mail message in it. Once the receiver has read the message in the book, he/she does /mail clear and all of the /mail books that are in her inventory despawns.

This would prove practical because it would allow for (VERY) long messages to be sent in a single go, rather than having to spread it out with multiple /mail messages due to the character limit, as I stated earlier.

No. At the highest Arcane Mastery or whatever that perk's called, you do not get 100%  chance of keeping the enchants.

Then what I said in reply; place something where you want even if you have to break whatever's in the way, even if it will cause some minor problems.

Build a tower of any block you can stand on so that you can reach the dirt block.

Then rework something even if it means breaking it to place there again.

I disagree. We already have /j and /back, plus, the VIP and VIP+ ranks are no longer available for purchase, so only we + the staff team would have access to it.
The point of having /fly for only 30 minutes makes it seem more like a trial period every week or so, except you can't buy the command for the rest of the week, and builds aren't worked on only 30 minutes every week. As I stated earlier, we already have /j and /back, which is more than enough for builds.

Anvils are like signs and chests, they have protection.
Try /cmodify public, then left-click the anvil that you want to make public IIRC

If you're just talking to one person, you can just write with /msg and /r. But I can understand this, and although I think that the /l range is just fine, I do agree that it could be nice with a wider area.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Add personal message to /gift?
« on: 7 Aug 2016, 17:43:55 »
I'd really enjoy seeing something like that in place. Makes it unnecessary to have to type in /mail send (message) separately if the person who is receiving the gift is offline and miss out on the context.

Example: Gift from adam5979: "Here's the pickaxe you ordered."

Of course, maybe implement it like this:
After putting in the items into the gift chest/inventory, then a message will pop up, asking if you want to write a message along with the gift before sending it. Then type either /yes and write the message, or /no. After that, it'll send out the gift.

Support / /help change? (and advert command)
« on: 5 Aug 2016, 15:11:26 »
I'm wondering why /help was changed to a message thatr redirects you to /helpop or the Support page in the website. Seems weird and out of place, since /help is used almost universally to check the player's available commands. There's a few commands that I don't know off the top of my head, so why change it?
Also, was the advert command removed?

DISCLAIMER: This build is not yet finished. Do not be surprised if you see unfinished areas as it's still something that I have to work hard on.

Hello all Noobs!

For the past 3 weeks I have been working on a new building project in my wild chunks. It is an ice castle, spanning 60 chunks! Not inspired by anything else but real-life castles, I decided to make this build as I feel that we don't really have a build of this scale made of ice and snow (and other blocks that fit with those 2 things). With a huge amount of rooms spread across 1 "main building" and 2 side towers, a lot of things are going to be in this huge build!

Here's a list of rooms, for (potential) future reference (crossed over means that it's built):
Diamond Exchange x2 (not set up)
Level 30 Enchantment Table x2
Staircases in left tower
Staircases in right tower
Banquet hall
Ballroom
Room for tips and tricks to grind mcMMO Skills
Room for tips and tricks to make money efficiently
View Area in main building
View Area in left tower
View Area in right tower
Throne room
Guest bedroom x2
Personal bedroom
Back garden with "art"

You can turn in your own tips and tricks for grinding mcMMO or getting money! Your name will be written if you submitted the tip first.
If you want 1 or 2 chests in the diamond exchange, message me on the site.
Thanks for reading. Have fun!

P.S. My activity will drop significantly/cease for another 2 and a half weeks as I am travelling around Europe in car, starting tomorrow.

Suggestions & Ideas / Re: Voting
« on: 15 Jul 2016, 21:55:12 »
There's also a unfairness factor which goes along the lines of:
Not everyone has multiple internet connections to make, (one is the house's WiFi, the other is the cellphone's mobile data as example for mutiple). And not everyone has good enough internet.
Let's say that I had terrible internet. There would be no way that I'd get the double vote, but I vote every single day of the month. Then, why should I get beat by a person who voted 18 of 31 days, but double-voted all those days? That wouldn't be close to fair.
Simple. If there won't be a punish for the multiple voting, there's option B - NOT having that kind of competition until it is then resolved by PMC.

Are you sure a player gets paid twice?

That's the info that Rueyeet told me. And I do think that it's the case.

Suggestions & Ideas / Voting
« on: 15 Jul 2016, 12:18:53 »
As I guess most people know, our voting system is slightly off. You can vote twice a day through 2 different devices connected to separate internet routers, or something along those lines, and although PMC only registers one of the votes, the server does NOT, it registers both of the votes, giving the player double the amount of money (5,000 Nbz). So, double voting (you can do it on more accounts if you are fast enough) doesn't benefit in promoting the server MORE, it's just being abused to gain more money and to register more votes for the server, by the server.
This is a problem because of the monthly competition "Top Voters of the Month", where a person gets a prize for voting so many times, according to what the server has registered. The price is pretty big for some people that can't/don't make money fast or efficiently, and that can lead to a voting lead over others who might've voted far more days than you have, when you cheated in those extra votes.

What I want to suggest, to counter these extra votes, is to either:
A: Make vote abuse punishable in 5 stages. First, a warning. Then a kick from the server if they're online at the time when they "double vote". Then, jail for X amount of time. Then, temporary ban for however long, maybe 1 day, then a month long ban. (Note: these things can be automated, since the server register the amount of votes that come in, so console should be able to do the punishment/send out an automated message in-game. If they decide to double-vote, those votes will not be counted in for the tournament/competition.)
Or:
B: Disband the "Top Voters of the Month" competition altogether until Larry and/or Foob solves that issue.

I know, I've heard multiple times "Larry's cool with it", but I am NOT as long as the tournament/competition is still a thing. It's easily abused, grants money that you were not offered since double voting was never meant to be a thing, and can lead to money that a person gets from cheating.
