I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this year's Advent setup.
It wasn't just "show up at the warp and open a chest", but if you missed any days, you didn't miss any more than that day's gift (unlike the year where you had to collect the trading tokens from each day to get the bonus prize). The exploration of hunting down each day's gift was just the right amount of a task to get the reward.
So thanks, Larry, for a great Advent; and thanks for all the goodies! I hope you and yours manage to find some holiday cheer in this very, ahem, "challenging" year (keeping' it PG for the kiddies lol)!

Swear to God that when I submitted that link took me here! So sorry! D: I will repost in the solution page if necessary!

10 mil and a player leaving the server I am mod on. Sometimes it's for the best, and I'm hoping that 10 mil is in USD. 😜
mcmmo or mmorpg?

Thanks cruisinkiy and Hyperspacechewy for the adds! I haven't been out to spin for gifts in a couple days -- my sinuses are driving me nuts -- but as soon as I can I'll send some gifts your way!
For KJD and mrfloris ... this is a great time to get back into playing! Niantic has added a bunch of features, and they seem to have found their rhythm with the frequency and duration of events. The weather system alone has been huge for not seeing the same few spawns day after day, and the research tasks always give you something to do. It's a much better experience than it was even last year.

Given the new friend features and our international player base, I thought it might be neat to share friend codes with folks we actually sorta know, rather than just adding random people from lists on the internet.
Mine's 7894 1069 9260 ... if you send me a request, reply here with your trainer name so I know whom I'm accepting!
And please, no replies about how the game is lame, or dead, or what-have-you. Been there heard that.

Exactly what it says on the tin. The option to purchase an additional /home on an ad-hoc basis from /shop, at some appropriately expensive price (though please not as outrageous as a spawner!).
Even if the website store goes back up at some point, this would be nice for those who find themselves needing an extra /home or two, but not as many as, say, the 15 that used to be on the site.
What do y'all think?

Please tell me you meant that differently?
Apparently that didn't come out right. It translates as "Congratulations to my real-life friends and family for winning a spot in the top voters this month." Ruinwen is my sister and Katholly is a long-time friend of mine, and I did introduce them both to the server, so it's nice to see them in the list. It obviously couldn't mean they were logging votes for me, since I'm nowhere on the list and didn't win diddly squat, and deservedly so. I only vote when I'm regularly active, which I haven't been lately. And would you seriously think I'd do something like that, regardless? Dude. o_O

Props to my IRL peeps for the votes! ... one of whom, at least, is quite definitely very active. I do kinda agree that one shouldn't be able to score these prizes for just paying a daily visit to PMC and not actually being on the server. Perhaps the required hours online in the month could scale with the placement in the list, i.e. the topmost voter would need to be online more than the 10th place voter? Dunno if there's an easy programmatical way to verify that at the server end, but if so ... ?

Loving this addition. This is going to come so greatly in handy keeping my inventory manageable when mining ... not to mention the EGGS. Oh, the eggs.
This is a truly inspired feature ... you are rockin' it, Larry. Thanks so much!!

EGGS.
I can't begin to express how happy the addition of eggs makes me .... or overstate how prolific a measly dozen chickens can be, over time. D:

I dunno about seasonal resets. While there's still plenty of space for gathering resources, many of the generated structures (villages, strongholds, fortresses, End cities etc) get discovered and looted well before a month has gone by. For those of us who enjoy exploring to find such things, the monthly reset timing is a welcome thing. I've been trying to go out further in the End, but its kinda hard to tell which way is which, and all but one of the cities I've found were already picked over.

I think snowball is the only one that doesn't require admin commands to run, based on what I've seen. I could be wrong though.

In lieu of trying to help with bandanas, current-ish pics of KJD:
You remind me very strongly of actress Kat Dennings. Also, nice hat.

I too have a complete set, finally .... better late than never!
A shulker box containing my set is at /visit thelynx74, in the row of everyone's sets.
Thanks for everyone's help in getting those eggs!

I'm always good at generic medieval, and I've done work for towns before. If I'm around when the work threads get posted, I'll do what I can.

I enjoyed the quest, even if it was a little gold-intensive. And I did have a bit of trouble figuring out the clues to the side quests. But all in all, well done KJD and Mr. Ham!
I wish I could come up with anything in the way of a quest storyline. Been racking my brains since I did the pirate quests last year, but I guess it's just not a talent I have.

There's actually some concern in the Minecraft community that the Better Together platform (i.e. the mobile/Win10 side) will be enphazised going forward at the expense of the Java version. *emphasized, even.

You can always go with the alternative of using decked-out armor stands ... this would be even more viable with the decorative head shop Larry had mentioned a while ago.

Won't that take business away from the shops in Skyside? And wouldn't that be a good place to put the prospective Tekco emporium?

Hmmm. I mostly use shulker boxes to extend my inventory space while resource-gathering, or as overflow storage at home ... not sure what use they'd be where you can't build or break, i.e. don't need tools and can't collect stuff.
I suppose they might be handy for massive town shopping trips? Maybe I'm missing a use case here ...

Ah hah! I figured that's why you were so busy crafting concrete! ... this'll be handy, though. Wishing you brisk sales!

I kinda miss the /lottery winners query ... if you aren't online during the drawing, and don't remember your balance, it's the only way you know if you won ( or can tease certain people for winning again ). It's possible that /lottery status replaced this, but it keeps telling me I don't have permission to do that. Other than this - and the general increase in lag - I haven't had a single issue after the update. Great job, Larry!

Perhaps to make sure it's safe, the ticket item's destination could be set to wherever the player is standing when crafted/purchased. If crafted, it should be craftable in the 2x2 grid, so that it can be created easily on any spot. The same system that checks /visit safety could then be run. Naming the item could either be part of the crafting/purchasing process, or done as usual on a vanilla anvil.
I like KilljoyDivine's idea of the number of ingots expended being the number of uses, maybe with a cap of 5 or so to prevent abuse (using tickets to get around sethome limits, for example).
Dunno how easy this would be to implement, but it'd be a neat addition.

One way you could do this with current functionality is to create a written book with a catalog of what you're offering, then use the chest shop system to offer it. You could ask prospective buyers to /Mail you in-game, or shoot you a PM here on the forums. You can easily create however many catalogs you need by copying the original book.
If you don't have a shop, I believe HnK_ is offering chests in Skyside.
