From my knowledge there is not a more efficient way to clear plots off other people. The /plot clear command is used to take signs down but it's pretty useless because most of the time the block it is placed on is still locked. I always have to ask a Moderator to unlock the other people's items. I doubt there will be anything added because it would mean modifying the Towny plugin which won't happen. That's just my opinion.

I'd rather have loads of people complaining than the server full of abandoned towns that are neglected.

The higher upkeep is probably more to see which town are more prepared to keep up with the steeper prices and see which mayors are bothered about keeping their town alive. I must admit it isn't that hard to get 850 Noobz a day to keep up with the upkeep. Also you could tax your residents if you really want, just to get some money and see which of your residents are active and bothered to stay in the town.

There probably isn't a "set" date for them to update. They'll update when they can. Meaning when all the plugins and such are up to date, which could be a couple of days.

I think people who donated should have the "Veteran" rank. AND the people who have been playing since V1. (If they still are.) Just an idea.

This has been brought up many of times and it's got the same feedback every time.
People who donate now become VIPs, if they just become Veterans then their would be no use of VIPs, meaning loss of income of money for the server for future upgrades and other perks.
Also, if people have been on the server since V1 they've had their fair share of chances to donate to the server for the Veteran rank. Maybe players since V1 are significant for the server but no significant enough to gain the Veteran rank.
Just my opinion on this subject.

Why should Mods have to waste their time clearing up lava griefs, spillages etc. when they could be doing more important errands? Lava was blocked because it is a popular griefing tool. Without people being able to place lava there are no major lava griefs. There's just no need to add the use of lava placing. Also, I don't even think Mods can place lava (correct me if I'm wrong), meaning you'd have to get the attention of an Admin to do it, which is very unlikely as they are busy most of the time they are online.
